We were not able to stay for our ski vacation that had been planned for many months. Just walking into the hotel can set off allergies. Dogs are barking and pulling on leashes trying to get to eachother. The snow outside is yellow and brown with droppings. It is not relaxing.

We had made a request for a room due to the allergies our family has. The hotel told us upon arrival that they can't guarantee that any room has not been used with dogs. We ended up sick from our allergies and lost money all around on tickets, rentals, etc..

This hotel surpassed my expectations. The rooms are stunning, the beds are ridiculously comfortable. The hotel is clean enough to sparkle. The facilities are fantastic, the staff are helpful. The gym, pool and spas are perfect. The location is great - just a staircase away from the town centre.

If you are going to Mammoth Lakes, make a splurge and get a room at the Westin Monache and you won't be disappointed!

My one word of warning is to make sure you wear a lot of insect repellent in Mammoth Lakes (especially in the outdoor pool area of the Westin Monache). The place is so fantastic that even the insects hang out there. After just 30 minutes, I sustained 9 sizeable bites.

Stayed here 3 nts while doing day hikes. Very quiet. $25/nt resort fee plus $16/day parking seemed excessive. Nice to have completely stocked kitchen (even had cuisinart blender and dishwasher). Only complaint was the air conditioning created a draft no matter where you were in the rm.

A well run resort with modern amentities, minikitchen with appliances, rangetop, microwave, toaster, etc. which is great for travelling families. Excellent staff, clean and neat facility. Rooms are nicely furnished, modern bathrooms. Very satisfying place to stay.

We loved our week in Mammoth staying at the Westin Monache last year. We have 2 weeks planned this year, I called to make a reservations and the nightmare began. The first agent made a mistake, they charged me $1000 more than they were supposed to, they made me go through 8 different people because no one can figure out how to fix the issue. After spending 4 hours on the phone they finally figured out how to do so. Lovely location but they need to retrain their staff in reservations.

We decided to stop in Mammoth Lakes on our way from Yosemite to Las Vegas, we didnt know anything about the place. The village is beautiful and picturesque and the Westin Monach is a beautiful hotel. The suite was amazing and the staff was friendly and attentive.
Loved it!!

I rarely write reviews, but was so impressed with this hotel, I felt I had to! The service was absurdly good - right when we arrived they valeted our car and checked us in while doing so. They asked us where we were eating dinner and suggested a shuttle to take us. The shuttle was promptly waiting 20 minutes before our dinner reservation. Small touches like this go a long way! The whole weekend we were continually impressed with the staff, the quality of the hotel, and the attention to details. We will definitely return!
