What a beautiful, sweet place this is. Dave and Dianne are wonderful hosts who take excellent care of the house and make a terrific breakfast. It was a pleasure to meet them and the other guests, all interesting people in a broad range of ages. Thank you for your part in a very pleasant and memorable anniversary.

Room Tip: While ours was the Fairhaven room in the turret looking over the street and Penn Cove, I'm prett...

I highly recommend The Anchorage Inn !! Our first impressions was wonderful and we loved that the Canadian flag that was raised in honour of our stay -- a fun, respectful consideration that made us feel all the more welcome. The breakfasts were exceptional; and hosts Dave and Dianne kindly accommodated our dietary requirements. The morning coffee is heavenly! Their hospitality and the warm environment were highlights. The close proximity to Front Street was a bonus. The morning views of the water from our room set the start to our days as did the morning breakfasts with other Inn guests. We were only staying two nights and didn't request room service; however, they thoughtfully freshened up our room anyway, a nice unexpected touch. Everything exceeded our expectations.

It's certainly a pleasure to have our northern neighbors in for a visit. If we know of a visitor coming from another country, we'll always post their flag or order it if we have time. Our flag collection is now 43 countries. We're so happy you felt so at home. Dave and Dianne

This was our first visit to the Anchorage Inn and it was everything we expected and more! The pictures on the website are exactly what you get plus there's lots of thoughtful little touches that you won't see until you are there in person. Dave and Dianne are wonderful hosts and make you instantly feel like you are 'at home'. They are attentive to your needs but not obtrusive. Lots of shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the Inn. We will definitely be back!

A B&B can be frightening to some. Staying with strangers is a spooky thought. The Anchorage Inn B&B has a floor plan that takes that away and gives our guests a home away from home. D&D

Visiting Whidbey Island after a many year hiatus we chose to stay in Coupeville rather than Oak Harbor (which has become very busy and commercial). The Anchorage Inn B&B turned out to be a real jewel (but also quite popular so not easy to book). During our stay Inn-sitters Liz and Gary were in charge and we could not have had more attentive, fun and competent Innkeepers. The owners are certainly fortunate to have such assistance available to them. The breakfasts were very special and both Liz and Gary were extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions, reservations and just general assistance. We are on the opposite coast but will try to return - just to stay again in this wonderful venue.

Room Tip: The Discover room (#1) is large, sunny and with a good view.

We chose the Anchorage Inn because of its close proximity to a house my brother's large family rented in Coupeville. We wanted our own home base and had never stayed at a B&B before. Our experience was nothing short of excellent. The Innkeepers were on vacation and the interim Innkeepers, Liz and Gary, were exceptional in every way. We weren't sure what to expect, but were warmly greeted by Liz, given a tour of the Inn, which was very charming and beautifully arranged, and shown our room, the Fairhaven, room 3. Liz told us to let her know if we needed anything at any time. Our room was very well appointed with a very comfortable bed and reading/sitting area and beautiful view of the waterfront in downtown Coupeville. We were given a choice of breakfast seatings, 8:30 or 9:30 and chose the later seating. The breakfasts were amazing. We were there five nights and we kept thinking the breakfasts couldn't always be this consistently excellent, but they were. Different every day and oh so tasty! Also included were 24/7 sodas, snacks, cookies, coffee and tea. We enjoyed visiting with the other guests at breakfast and found them to be a delightfully diverse, international group. Gary and Liz both greeted us every morning, asked about our upcoming day and offered any advice on how to get somewhere or where to visit or to have lunch and dinner. We spent much of our time with my brother's family, but the attention to detail from LIz and Gary was beyond anything we expected. One evening my brother's family got stuck in a 3 hour ferry line returning from a trip to Seattle. We just decided to order in. Liz suggested the pizza shop right up the street, called to make sure they were still open, gave us the menu and offered to call in our order for us! Another time we wanted to go to the market on the holiday and Liz called to make sure they were open and get their hours for the day for us. We never had to ask for anything. Liz and Gary thought of it for us. The Innkeepers could not have had better hosts while they were on vacation. I would have never guessed Liz and Gary weren't the owners of the Inn, they took that much pride in the Inn and their work! We would love to visit the island again. It is a perfect, quiet retreat and great base to visit Seattle, the San Juan Islands and everything in between. We will definitely be looking forward to another visit to the Anchorage Inn. We have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to anyone. We have traveled the world and have never experienced the warmth and service we did at this quaint Inn!

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any room in this Inn. We saw several. Some have better water views. T...

We agree with you, "We could never find a better couple than Gary and Liz" to fill in for us when we're away for a length of time. Although the height of season, our B&B never skipped a beat while we were away. D&D

We have been coming to Coupeville for several years and always plan to stay at the Anchorage Inn. Hosts Dave and Dianne go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Their Inn is so comfortable and refreshing. Their food preparation and presentation is terrific. Coupeville is an interesting place and either Dave or Dianne can give you any information you need concerning things to do and see as well as places to eat. You will not find a better place to stay while on Whidbey Islad
