Reserved two rooms for a night out in Philly. Check in was smooth in spite of the fact that the Philadelphia marathon was happening in the city that same weekend. Front desk even have us packets upon check in with information on the marathon that included where to watch the race and road closures, etc. - it's the little things that do so much to differentiate a good hotel experience from a great one!

Hotel was extremely well located in the heart of Philly with so many attractions within walking distance like reading terminal market and the liberty bell.

Rooms are extremely quiet and a nice size for a city hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff at this busy Marriott property were so friendly and helpful it was truly refreshing! All employees - front desk, concierge, security, housekeeping, bell hops & valets, etc. were genuinely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and extremely clean. Stayed 2 days for Philly Flower Show and it was very convenient (attached to convention center). The only downside is the price for parking at this hotel ($50/day Yikes!). We were able to find local parking at 20/day a few blocks away and it was worth the walk. The valets were very nice about letting us leave our vehicle while we checked in and took care of our bags. It was very convenient. This Marriott really knows their stuff and how to make it seamless for guests.

Room Tip: All rooms were very quiet. Be sure to call hotel directly for any special requests like adjoining rooms or bed types.

Recently stayed at Marriott Downtown in Philadelphia last March 5 - 8. I could not recommend a better place to stay. Hotel was above expectation and the location excellent. Just right across Reading Market, which is another place to rave about. Nearby are numerous other restaurants and watering holes. That Macy's is just around the corner helps. Immediate hotel is Marriott Courtyard.
I will try that on my next visit.

It was a HUGE hotel! We walked a few blocks inside to finally get to the room. Everything was decent and clean but it's right down town so be careful at night. We decided to walk to Chinatown that's a few blocks away and i definitely wouldn't do that again! We ended up being in the middle of a fight between some street guys and then on the way home another homeless man grabbed my son and asked him for some money, my 11 year old!
I'm assuming this would be a great business place if you were working in the area but for a family I would definitely stay in a different area.
