We were visiting for work during a weekend. Had to work overnight and sleep during the day. Luckily the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The view at night was great. The parking garage was a mess, the garage was dirty, sloppy and poorly built. The hotel finishes were great, the location was great and the service was very nice. The only thing that dampened the whole experience for us was the parking.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. We apologize for the appearance of our garage while we are under construction, and appreciate the feedback as it is the only way we can improve. Our location and atmosphere is warm, safe, and inviting and in the heart of downtown. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the hotel, and hope that the parking garage does not hinder your decision to stay with us again in the future.

The staff was nice - good location - needs some updating in Lobby. At first I thought they had no valet....no one was out front I had to go inside to find a valet parker. Walls are thin...heard everyone in the hallway. Good enough for one night.

Dear lfdonato1144 -
Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your recent stay. We do have a wonderful location in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. Our valet service is top notch, and we apologize for any delay in service you experienced. We hope to see you next time you are in the city. Hopefully it will not be in the midst of the snow storm, and we will have some nicer weather for you to enjoy!

This is a nice hotel, close to the city center and to the main theaters. It is a little bit noisy (we were at the 7th floor) and a little bit cold. Breakfast was nice and not expensive ($11), I missed a true orange juice.

The Doubletree is located in the Avenue of the Arts and has access by foot to much of Center City. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is delightful - from the front desk to the restaurants. Great spot!

Despite the fact that you were overwhelmed by the number of folks booking due to power outages (we were among them), the experience was very nice. You need directories with floor plans and extentions in the rooms. I was told they were removed to be updated. Not helpful. High praise to the evening supervisor who gave us info.

Thank you for the review of your recent stay. We apologize for the unfortunate timing of the power outage, and recent weather conditions in Philly. We are pleased with how our staff handled the situation, and that it had no adverse affects on your stay. Thank you for the suggestion for floor plans. We are working to have them updated and back in our guest rooms as soon as possible. We will pass along your gratitude to our evening housekeeper as well. Safe travels. Come back soon.

Stayed one night at the Doubletree during a snow storm to avoid driving. The location is great and a large part of why I chose it. It is right on Broad Street just a few blocks south of City Hall. It shares the corner with the subway stop and cabs, though not easily found in Philly, can be found on this stretch of Broad. While this is a full sevice hotel, the restaurant was not open for dinner that evening. While there are MANY dining choices in a very short walking distance, I chose to eat at the bar and was very pleasantly surprised. I had a great

My room, a standard king, was clean and comfortable. It was a bit small, but not bad for a center city hotel. My only problem with this room was the noise. I was on the 10th floor at the end of the hall away from the elevators. Although my window faced Broad Street, the occasional siren (to be expected in any city) was audible but not so much as to wake me up or disturb me. The noise from the other rooms and hall, however, was disturbing. I would not say that anyone staying on the floor was overly loud. The sound of simple conversations in the hall just carried too well into the rooms. The doors were also very heavy a slammed very loudly. I was woken up twice through the night by other guests simply returning to thier rooms.

Overall, I would say it was a good experience, especially considering the price and location. I would stay there again, but would bring earplugs or ask for a less populated floor if available.

Dear JMBDT-
Thank you for your review of your recent stay. We were extremely busy the nights of your stay due to the storm, and are happy to hear that you were safe and sound in all of your travels. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the food and service at the bar in the hotel, and hope you will return again under better circumstances and nicer weather for exploring the city.

Doubletree Hilton is located right in the middle of the theater district of Philadelphia on Broad St. The hotel offers range of services expected from a full service hotel. A restaurant and separate bar are available along with a small convenience store. Onsite are also convention style meeting rooms as well as a small fitness room and pool. The hotel building itself was a bit older but clean and accessible. Outside the hotel are nearby restaurants, theaters, and subway stops for easy access to the rest of the city.

During my stay I had a nice, clean efficiency suite with a small living room and king sized bed. The room had great views of Broad St and several theater buildings at night. The bathroom was fairly sizable but not huge. It had a standard bathroom set of amenities including a bath and shower. The living area had a small couch, chair, and desk for relaxing or working. A flat screen tv was available for watching tv. The bed was quite nice and comfortable. One downside to the room was a lack of a mini-fridge.

The hotel also had a small pool with chairs strewn around the pool edges. It was a bit cluttered but quite nice for relaxing. While larger than some hotel pools, the pool itself was pretty small when multiple groups of guest used it. The water in the pool was heated. There was also a fitness room on the same level of the pool.

Perhaps that greatest virtue of the hotel is its great location. One could walk out and hail a cab, take the subway, or just walk to nearby areas. There were a number of restaurants open near the hotel including an Ihop for late night pancake meals. Bars and clubs are also nearby. During the daytime hours that are numerous shops near the hotel. A large Frye's music store is located up a block or two on Broad St. The city hall building is within easy walking distance and one could go on extended walks to Rittenhouse Square or even Chinatown.

Parking is available right next door to the hotel at a fairly low price of $25 (at least during my stay). The garage is fairly small but has an elevator. Just drive in, take a ticket, and then park. The hotel will charge you for the parking on your hotel charges and they will give you a marked ticket back. If you are using in and our privileges, be sure to tell the parking attendant this when exiting. When I left the attendant almost kept my ticket. Like any other city garage, I would definitely not keep any valuables in the car during the stay.

Overall the hotel was very good experience with a great location. The location simply can't be beat. The on-site amenities are very good with a fairly sizable lobby for meetings. The nearby parking garage was easy to reach and outside there were numerous attractions. While not new as several hotels that have opened in Philadelphia, the hotel still has great deal of charm.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher room with a view of Broad St. for a good view.
