The only plus of this hotel is location close to the University of Pennsylvania.
It is highly overpriced hotel with old furnitures, vanities, carpets and tiles; old and very noisy air-conditioning. Only lobby area is OK, all others are just bad.

Our teenage daughters are interested in attending the University of Pennsylvania, so we stayed at this hotel while visiting the school. The location is perfect - right next to campus, just a two minute walk from the main quads. There are many excellent restaurants and interesting shops in the neighborhood, and lots of campus security/city police so it felt very safe even at night.
There had been a mix-up with our reservation (which may have been my fault), and our two rooms were not adjacent. The front desk clerk went above & beyond to correct the problem, moving us to upgraded rooms on the concierge floor so we could be together.
The concierge floor features free in-room Internet (sadly, very slow speeds) and free printing (color printer). They also have free breakfast (a.m.) & hors d'oeuvres (p.m.), which were both delicious. Breakfast included fresh fruit (blueberries, melons, pineapple) as well as cereals, muffins, bagels, and a different hot dish every day. There is also an espresso machine to fuel your caffeine needs. Evenings included gourmet cheeses, Buffalo wings, and bacon-wrapped scallops.
Our rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Very quiet and clean and with especially comfortable beds.

I stayed here 3 nights for a conference. The location is extremely convenient if you have business at the university. The covered parking garage is wonderful although it cost an extra $20 per day/night. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. My room was plenty big and the bed out of this world! I've never had a better night's sleep at a hotel. A desk top computer in the room was a bonus. Unfortunately the room could be kept up better. The front fell off the heating unit and there was a cold breeze coming from under the unit with the cover on or off. With the thermostat turned up to 75 the room was comfortable. The carpet smelled and the walls had dirty spots. The bed and bedding was clean and comfortable.

I needed a hotel close to campus on last-minute notice (I had an on-campus interview), and this was the best combination of price and location. It is literally a couple of blocks from campus and right next to several trolley and bus lines. It is a 6-block walk from the Amtrak station (FYI the website of the hotel says it's four blocks - it's definitely 6, almost 7), which made it incredibly convenient. I was staying one night, and a Sunday night at that, so I lucked out: I was able to check in early and get a great room upgrade. For $160 (including taxes) it was definitely worth it. There are desktop computers with free internet in the rooms, another big selling point.

I stayed here with my dog during one of the snow storms. The hotel did an excellant job of keeping the sidewalk clear. They were in the middle of renovating the lobby, which had a fireplace and several nice seating areas. There were computers and a TV with a seating area.

It was nice they let my 80 lb dog stay there, but gave me a "Doggy bag" that looked like it had been used previously. I cleaned up after my dog (outside), but there were no trash cans anywhere outside the hotel for me to dispose of his poop.

The electronic lock on my door didn't work . I stopped by the front desk to let them know and 3 hours later, no one had come to fix it, which meant if I left my room, it would not be locked. I called the front desk again and they arrived 10 mins later to fix it. Seems it just needed a new battery.

On the cleanliness side, my room was clean . The room did not have a refridgerator or microwave, but there was a shared microwave near the vending machines. It was dirty with something spilled all over the inside of it for 1 1/2 days. Also, the room that held the vending machines and microwave was dark and isolated.

The beds were comforatable and I liked that the sink was in the bathroom and not part of the room itself. There was a chair, large flat screen TV,and computer in the room with free internet access. It was a little slow, but nice to have in the room. The room also had free WIFI and a large desk area.

This hotel is within walking distance to UPENN, which is why I choose it. If you skip having your room cleaned, you receive a $5 credit which can be used at the on site restaurant. I would stay here again, but for the price, I expect better service and cleaner cooking areas.

It's conveniently located between UPenn and Drexel campus’ so it is definitely a safe area. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area to choose from and center city is only a short cab ride away (Sheraton has a taxi stand right outside the hotel for you). The rooms are nice, they were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. It’s a great place for friends and/or family and the price was well worth it. I also cannot stress enough how helpful and courteous the staff was. I stayed at this hotel a while back but they have just completed some major renovations to the lobby area and it looks amazing. They also put in a business center (The Link @ Sheraton) it’s located by the main lobby and everyone can access it. It really was the perfect location, with perfect service at a perfect price!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my family for a wedding that was held at the hotel. We made a road trip out of it and stayed at a couple of Hampton Inn's along the way. The Hampton Inns were far superior to this hotel in service, value, cleanliness, and being updated. The front desk staff was mostly apathetic. The hallways were outdated, there was a broken mini refrigerator outside our door, The room itself was good, but the bathroom tiles etc needed to be replaced. This just wasn't what I expected a downtown Sheraton to be like. There is a new Chinese restaurant that had just opened that day - the food was very good. However the smell of stir fry permeated the hallways, even on the 14th floor. For our needs, this hotel worked out great since the wedding was just downstairs, but I would NOT stay here again.
