Owner description: With over 140 bronzes, marbles, and plasters - including "The Thinker" - the distinguished collection housed in the Rodin Museum represents every phase of Auguste Rodin’s career. Located on Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the elegant Beaux-Arts–style building and garden offer an absorbing experience and the largest collection of Rodin's work outside of Paris.

Admission was included with Art Museum admission; I'm not sure the separate admission fee as a stand alone museum would have been worth it for me.

This is a great stop on a cultural tour of Philadelphia. Your ticket to the Philadelphia Museum of Art is valid here as well (no additional charge) and it's only an 8-9 minute walk between the two.

Museum staff was quite friendly. The gift shop appeared to be a little on the small side, so you may want to do your shopping at the main art museum.

The collection is rather small, but it is nonetheless impressive. Paris' Rodin Museum blows this out of the water, of course, but this place is a very strong contender for the second most comprehensive collection of Rodin I've seen.

Photo op: Be sure to take a selfie with "The Thinker." :-)

This is a small museum but one of the best Rodin collections in the world. All the sculptures are inside (unlike the Rodin museum in Paris where they are mainly outdoors). Strangely enough, we thought that this museum was the more effective. And, if you're not going to Paris soon, you can see all the Rodin you could want here.

This museum is supported by donation and it is a wonderful collection of his sculpture. The Thinker out front is one of the original monumental-size bronze casts. The original Thinker is part of a much larger work, a doorway surround, called the Gates of Hell.

First saw Rodin's Gates of Hell and The Thinker in Royal Academy of Arts in London. It was a traveling exhibition with limited works. The Rodin Museum definitely has a more sizable collection and is a great stop to view his work and how it progressed.
