Rodin's art is wonderful, and the building itself is also very beautifiul. It's interesting that Rodin's most famous works were found outside, and just walking around the building would be worth the trip over to the museum if you're in Philly. But pay a little extra and go inside to find some additional great pieces; it's actually a very small museum and you will not likely spend more than an hour once you're inside.

If one buys a ticket for the Philadelphia Museum of Fine Art(a MUST visit !), this museum, just down the parkway is included in the price. One can take the Phlash Bus from one museum and historical site to another through out downtown Philadelphia, for a set price, and senior citizens(with ID) ride for free. The building the most of the sculptures are in is a real
beauty. The collection, depending on your interest can be viewed in 1/4 to 1 hour.....more if you are a REAL fan .

If ever you're in the area and have time to do just one cultural thing, visit the Rodin Museum - you won't be sorry for it. It's a great collection of all things Rodin, and more.

Wonderful museum, small enough to enjoy in an hour. At first glance, it is just a collection of beautiful sculpture. But then I started reading explanations and history for each of the pieces. I found myself looking at the details. I began to search for what the French sculptor was trying to convey. I was drawn into the beauty of Rodin's work. Neither my husband or I have had the opportunity to see this type of exhibit before and really enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed taking pictures. Because the museum was small, I didn't feel rushed in order to see everything. I was able to take my time and enjoy each sculpture.

A very nice, but small museum. The audio tour is very well done. Don't forget to look at the building itself, especially the ceiling in the main area.
