Owner description: Located at the exact geographical center of Philadelphia, City Hall is perhaps the nation’s largest and most elaborate seat of municipal government, topped by the famous statue of William Penn. Located in the building's East Portal in Room 121, the City Hall Visitor Center provides the opportunity for visitors to experience this architectural treasure. Tickets for interior and tower tours are available here, as well as tickets to other city attractions, and visitor essentials including maps, brochures, souvenirs and trip itineraries.

This was my favorite site in Philadelphia. The view from the top is spectacular! The entire experience takes only about 45-60 minutes, but it's fantastic. Keep in mind that reservations are required. Call or stop by early in the day or the day prior to when you want to visit. The elevator to the top holds only 4 people, so everything is scheduled. This is actually a real perk because there are so few people at the top that you really get to enjoy everything. The downside is that this schedule also requires you to leave after only about 10 minutes at the top. It's still a great experience, and I highly recommend it.

My brother remembered going up to the top of City Hall years ago and loving it, so we embarked on this adventure to only find out that you have to now reserve your spot and pay $6.So back to the hotel we went and the next morning I called the minute the gift shop (thats where you get your tickets) opened to reserve us a spot. You must give them a credit card number if you do it this way. I'm pretty sure tours start at 9a.m. and go every 15 minutes and if I remember right the last one goes up at 4:15. The later morning times until noon are often reserved for school tours. We somehow managed to get an 11:30a.m. time and it just so happened that it was just my brother, me, and the tour guide. It was an amazing view and fun to look up and see you were right below Benjamin Franklin. We took tons of pictures in the 15 minutes we had up there. The tour guide was very informative as well telling us what to look for

We went to the City Hall just to ride the elevator up to the top of the tower to see the view.
It was worth the time we spent. Only four people can go at a time and you only spend around 15 minutes there. But that is enough time for pictures and a great view. You have to pay for it and because only four people can go at a time, you need to go ahead and get your tickets early in case all the time slots get filled up.

Take the time to make your way to the top of the City Hall tower. It is extremely impressive & a once in a lifetime experience that you won't ever regret!! I only wish we had more time to take the whole tour of City Hall...

We had a guided tour outside and inside city hall for 1,5 hours, and also went up the tower for a magnificent view of the city. The tour guide spoke very fast but had many interesting subjects to talk about. We even got a handshake by the mayor! Some inside rooms are amasingly beautifull but the view from the tower, which is the highest masonry tower in the world, was the absolut highlight of our stay to the city.
