“Great Experience, Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 November 2013

I live in the greater Philadelphia area, so I have stayed in many Center City hotels over the years. I often stayed at a property across the street from the Four Seasons, but after a few disappointing experiences, I decided to try the Four Seasons for the first time. I was very pleased.

The room could have been updated. But, other than some signs of use, it was a nice room. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Given the amount of people in the room, I don't believe that I heard a sound from outside of the door.

The bathroom was spotless and the toiletries were top notch.

Best part of the stay was the service. From check in, to the entrance staff, to the restaurant, I was continually impressed with the helpfulness and attention to detail. This was the best service that I have received at a Philadelphia hotel. We had breakfast in the hotel on a busy Saturday morning. Every single member of the restaurant staff chipped in the make the experience unique and pleasant. They were constantly looking for any sign to assist and I was impressed with how they worked together to make sure everything went seamless for guests.

The check out process was easy....no, easier than easy. For at least 5 of my last 10 hotel stays, I have had some billing issue when using a package. I booked the parking and breakfast package at the Four Seasons. No issues. The bill was properly adjusted and no extra charges appeared on my credit card.

I would happily recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia for four days and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The hotel is centrally located adjacent to Logan Square and within quick walking distance to many of the major landmarks.

Check-in was a smooth process and my requested room, an Executive Suite on a high floor, was provided. The room itself was nicely appointed with a sitting room and separate bedroom. Both rooms included flat screen televisions and the furniture was very comfortable and stylish. My room directly overlooked Logan Square with the illuminated fountain at night. The windows were clearly soundproof as I never heard a single bit of noise from outside during my stay.

Unfortunately, the main restaurant at the Four Seasons was closed for dinner during my stay (presumably for renovations). Nevertheless, there was a plethora of dining options in close proximity to the hotel.

I did utilize the fitness facility on several occasions during my stay. They certainly have more than enough pieces of equipment, and I never had to wait for someone to finish up. The pool is quite nice and a very large hot tub is available for use as well.

Without question, my stay at the Four Seasons Philadelphia was exceptional, and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting the central area of Philadelphia.

Nice location, very large and comfortable room, nice bar, a very solid and comfortable hotel for a business trip. Limited time to explore the facilities but it did everything I hoped and needed for a short business trip

We have been lucky enough to stay several times. The last time was a real treat! Our friends , had a balcony looking over the circle and up the parkway! But ,do not be dismayed we had a wonderful , comfy king bed, with all the amenities the hotel has to offer.

Go down staris to the Swan Lounge get a table and no mattter the weather you will have a grand meal and a beautiful view.
I would ask for a higher room just to have a birds eye view and be above the street traffice which is bound to be at any downtown hotel.

Room Tip: I believe there is a spa and pool, we did not use it but I would find out the details!!

A Four Seasons property is usually so reliably great. This hotel has the fabulous service you expect at a Four Seasons, but the property is so worn. It really needs a good makeover. We've been to this one a few times and it's a little less nice each year. It's still a charming old place, but not up to par for a Four Seasons. The brunch/breakfast used to be my most favorite part, but the last time was a huge disappointment. I really hope they fix it.

Everything you typically expect from a four seasons the FS Philadelphia has. Impeccable service, fantastic food, great location. It's obviously not going to be like a bigger city FS- such as NY/LA, but it holds its own. What we especially liked was that if you don't want to move your car around- you don't really have to. The hotel is located within walking distance to all the historical buildings. The rate was good- so why stay anywhere else while you're in Philadelphia?

This Four Seasons should have been gutted and redecorated years ago. The paint and furnishings in our room were shabby, the bathroom was dirty and the tub dented, chipped and badly repaired, the clicker for the TV did not work. All in all, if this had been a Motel 6, it would have been understandable but this should not be the case for a Four Seasons. Managers acknowledged the hotel was past due for an overall but, otherwise, did nothing to make our stay anything but miserable. Could not wait to check out after one night stay...just happy it was only for one night.

Room Tip: Go elsewhere
