We had a most enjoyable few days at this very attractive hotel. Owner and staff were friendly and attentive. Location was perfect as we were able to walk to the city's historic attractions. With many fine restaurants in the immediate vicinity we only had one dinner in the hotel's Ristorante Panorama, and that was excellent.

By the way this hotel/restaurant is a must for the wine connoisseur.

This is near enough the train terminal to be convenient but far enough to feel you have really gone on vacation. The neighborhood is great with lots of walking, eating, and drinking places nearby and you are right on the water. The rooms are lovely and you can have champagne delivered to your jacuzzi bath. Our front desk manager Antonio Conrado was extremely helpful and even tried to find us last minute Saturday night massages. He was great! I will definitely go back again...

Room Tip: They have rooms with balcony, facing water and facing street. Ours had an electric fireplace as well...

We've stayed here several times and always had a good experience. Great location, walking distance to everything. Good restaurants in the neighborhood but what we love about this hotel is that, thanks to the quality on-site restaurant, you can have a wonderful romantic dinner, complete with wine flights, delivered to your room. We had a lovely room in the front with a view of the river and the bridge and a nice jetted tub.

This hotel was just wonderful. Quaint old world charm, spacious rooms and excellent service. Breakfast was delicious and more than adequate. Right in the heart of the historic district it is perfectly situated to take advantage of Philedelphia's attractions. It is also close to a range of eateries offering the famous Phillie cheese sliders. This hotel offers great value.

Room Tip: All rooms would be similar.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great, walking is easy and public trans is convenient. The only issue I had was paying extra for a river view and not knowing we would have a view of I 95, too. I would not book this room ever again, and wish we had asked to switch rooms to save the additional costs.

Room Tip: Avoid the river view.

This pretty little hotel was quiet, within walking distance of many nice bars and restaurants, Alsford Alley, Betsy Ross' House, the Liberty Bell, etc. and also had a large area to park your car for a fee. I think it had one of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had anywhere. The lobby was decorated with a homey Christmas theme when we went.

The beds were comfortable, everyone was nice, it had everything we needed, you name it. Love this place!

I lucked out by finding a room at the Penn View, which is a rare gem in Philly. I didn't realize what a pleasant side of town it would be, and what a great staff I'd discover! When I first arrived, the lack of a ramp into the small cozy entrance way of the hotel put me off, but I quickly learned that that was actually part of the charm of the place; everything you found was the antithesis to a large, chain, and impersonal run hotel. I loved the staff, the hotel room, the breakfast area, and the environs.

Room Tip: I'd advise trying to get a room with a view, above the 2nd floor, if possible!
