Nice place to stay - very clean and comfortable. It's just a few blocks from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell so it's a good place for tourists. It was kind of hard for us to find at first because our GPS got confused but otherwise no problems.

This is a beautiful hotel; room was very clean. Close to many shops, restaurants and historical landmarks in Philadelphia. Room had a wonderful little balcony with a great view of the city. This hotel is good for tourist as well as business travel. Amy, in the bar, was very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor; excellent view.

From the fireplace to the furnishings this is a place to head with the one you love. You can enjoy a delectable dinner then head back to the room and enjoy the jacuzzi tub. The location is great for day trips in the old city. Breakfast is good for a continental, but after several days of identical I would have preferred a change. Try the dining room for lunch or dinner. 1/2 portions are ample, and wine selection is top notch.

We spent only one day in Philadelphia but this was a good home base for us. It's located in a place that makes it's easy to walk anywhere. Check in was very easy and the room was clean and a bit unique in a good way. Breakfast was OK. Rates were also reasonable, parking a little pricey but right next to the hotel so also very convenient.

Room Tip: Choosing a room near the front of the hotel might be a better view. However it might also be noisie...

I feel so bad that it took me a few months to write this but we had our entire wedding party stay here in May and it was absolutely wonderful! We had the challenge of planning our wedding from abroad- we live in Germany but got married in my hometown of Philadelphia. Nick and the whole staff at Penn's View made the planning process seamless- they were so friendly and open to any questions/requests and really made ALL of our international guests feel at home. the hotel itself fit right in with the colonial charm of the city and the breakfast was seriously amazing- all of our guests were raving about the hotel! and as a true testament to the quality of customer service that they offer- Antonio even took my wedding dress to the dry cleaner for me! they are such sweet people at that hotel- we look forward to staying there every time we come back to the city!

Room Tip: Room 509 is so beautiful with the private deck!

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We were in Philly to see history and were so happy to realize that this hotel had its own history. We easily walked to the colonial history sites 3 blocks away (liberty bell etc..) Our room was huge, clean & beautifully decorated and nothing like any of the chain hotels. Breakfast was great. It had the basic hotel breakfast items but was done more upscale. Parking was inexpensive next door. The only draw back was the elevator, they were having problems the day we were there.

We stayed in Philadelphia for two nights at the Penn's View. It's in a very good location, walking the historic district was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. If we visit Philadelphia again we will stay the Penn's View.
