“Our favorite breakfast/brunch in the city...”
Reviewed 27 May 2012

For about 2 years my wife and I have been engaged in an unofficial taste test of brunch restaurants in the Philadelphia area and this is the one we keep coming back to!

Great food. Fresh Ingredients. Good price. Wonderful, simple atmosphere.

“Great brunch at a great price!!”
Reviewed 27 May 2012

A girl from work recommended Cafe Estelle, so we had to try it out. All of the food was so fresh and tasty, and very reasonably priced. My husband loved the breakfast pizza, and I had the brioche french toast with a side of their homemade scrapple. The french toast was delicious, and I can honestly say, that was probably the best scrapple I have ever had!! The bottomless cups of coffee in huge mugs were great!! We will definitely be heading back!! A hidden gem between Callowhill and Spring Garden! :)

“Great place for brunch on a Sunday”
Reviewed 2 September 2011

We went for brunch on a Sunday and the place was full. We waited only a few minutes though to be seated.

We ordered the Homegrown Swiss Chard, Pork Sausage, New Potato and Goat Cheese Frittata (very filling), Huevos Rancheros de Verduras y Frijoles and Fresh Fruit with Housemade Granola and Local Yogurt and Buttermilk Pancakes with blueberries. The pancakes were so wonderful on their own that we all gobbled them up without any butter or syrup.

We also ordered the scrapple because we had never had it before and it is a dish common to the Pennsylvania Dutch, the Amish and Mennonites. It tasted like pork rillette. We liked it.

Coffee is self-serve and bottomless from a selection of 4 different coffees and soy milk is available.

A delightful place to have brunch in Philadelphia.

Note: Street parking only. The parking lot right in front of the cafe is not for customer parking.

“Great Food, Cool Vibe, Reasonable Price”
Reviewed 18 October 2009

Cafe Estelle is just north of downtown Philadelphia, located on the ground floor of a condo/loft building. Recommended to us by a server at a swank downtown restaurant. Definitely not a location frequented by tourists, which is what we (as tourists) like. Kind of a cool and hip industrial decor. The website indicates that much of the food is local and organic. We did the Sunday brunch, which has lots of things with a slightly different twist. Food is great, very reasonably priced, and the staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend.
