“Great for an overnight for early am flight”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

We spent the night here when we needed to be at the airport by 530am. Although we arrived late and couldn't enjoy the hotel, it seemed as if it would be a nice place to spend a relaxing evening before a flight. There is a nice bar/restaurant area.
The rooms were comfy and clean and the toiletries were nice.
Shuttle to the airport was quick.

The place is beautiful. Not in the price category of a Best Westerns of level 1 or 2 but worth the cost to stay in a spotless well appointed hotel with excellent service and great beds. I will return.( I believe MacArthur said that so I had to give him credit.)

Like most, stayed as you can walk right to the airport to catch a flight. For the first time, we drove in and were greeted by a gentleman who did not like the use of the word "bellhop", and had to scold my wife for it. I have been one, and was called this many times. Checkin was efficient, the room was on the smallish side, but standard Marriott fare. Quiet. One of the highlights was Nathan in the concierge lounge. Welcoming, had a great conversation. Don't believe I would choose this property unless I had a flight to catch.

After a long flight from the UK what we wanted was a hotel that was close and convenient and would mean we could go straight to sleep. The Marriott was certainly couldn't be closer to the terminal and before we knew it we were checked in an heading to our spacious and clean room. When we made the booking on the Marriott site we requested a feather free room due to allergies. This is sometimes a request that gets overlooked by hotels and has become a bit of a bug bear for us.

In most cases this is put right quickly. However, at the Marriott we made numerous calls and visits to reception to have our bedding changed. There seemed no sense of urgency to get things sorted which was especially frustrating at 11pm with a very tired 8 year old. It took over an hour and a visit to the duty manager (who was very helpful) for us to finally get the problem resolved.

To their credit, on check out the next morning appropriate steps were taken by the hotel to recognise the problems we had encountered and the overall rating reflects this.

Quiet rooms, reasonably modern and well appointed. The overall building is a little utilitarian - no charm or comfortable common areas. Staff were friendly at check-in, but still managed to convey the feeling that I was interrupting something. Pretty good hotel for a single night, related to air-travel. Terrible as a 2-3 day base for touring Philly or doing business in the city. Subway (SEPTA) station is convenient, but have never used it. Nothing else is accessible by foot except the terminals and parking garage.

Room Tip: upper floors were quite on both sides (facing and away from the airport)

Flew into Philly for a weekend seminar held at the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the staff made it incredible. The staff went out of there way to help us in every way. We landed and called for a shuttle, the receptionist told us that it would be faster if we were willing to walk. That's how close the hotel is. It's literally in the parking ramp of the airport. We walked about a block and found the hotel. Got checked in right away and loved our room. The conference room we used was great. The food served for the seminar was fantastic, even though it was only sandwiches, salads and desert for lunch, with a continental breakfast. And the most exceptional part of the whole weekend, I never heard one airplane. How do they do that?

We also were advised (by the bartender) to save some money on the taxi into Center City and take the train and buy the all day pass. What a great experience, I'm certainly glad I took her advice.

great time in Philly!

I would normally rate this hotel a 3 to 3.5 but have given it a 4 because they have great weekend rates and it is a quick train ride to center city. I stay here when flying in for the Philadelphia Phillies games, Philadelphia Eagles games, Flower Show and more. The weekend rate can be as low as $99 which is fantastic for the quality of this hotel.

Room Tip: I usually stay on an upper floor and find even though you are next to a large airport I do not hear...
