Young kids will enjoy this hands on museum that harkens back to childhood experiences from earlier times in Philly. You better hurry however as the museum is facing a financial crisis.

We visited the Please Touch Museum in July of 2014. It is located in historic Fairmont Park, very close to the Philadelphia Zoo. It is a beautiful area and building. As other reviewers have noted, there is a ton of street parking. The area seemed very safe.

The museum is great for kids 3-6. Anything below or above that age range and you'll be outside the "fun" factor. My daughter is 7 and while there were certain things she loved (the Rocket Room and the motor vehicle area) some stuff was a little young for her (the water area especially). The price $17 seems fair for what they bring to your family. You could argue that adults should not have to pay, but how are awesome places like this supposed to exist without revenue? Even though my daughter did not get maximum value, she still had fun and we're happy to support the efforts to have a museum like this for kids. We arrived just after the 9am opening time and left about noon. The museum was not overcrowded, but the first hour was much better than the rest of the day in terms of being able to see and touch the exhibits.

Glad we did it and would recommend to any family looking to have a fun half day activity in Philadelphia. You could easily combine this with the Philadelphia Zoo.

Our 4 and 9 year olds had a great time. We could easily have spent the entire day there. Parking is an extra $8, and admission is expensive for what it is - however is a good break for kids who have been around no-touch museums!

Took my 10 year old there, she loved playing there. Love the carousel. They have a great Alice in Wonderland exhibit.

Went with 3 boys, age 3,7, and 10
And while many of the areas were geared for toddlers , which my 3 year old could have spent all day doing, there were a few ebay made it great for the older two. A rocket launching area, as well as a hamster wheel like activity and balloons powered by air. All 3 of
them were happy for about 3 hours.

** I loved that there was a nursing room-it had a rocker and a changing table in a private room.
