“A look behind the closed door...”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

... and a big jump in the past !
I liked this small museum, close to "the people".
I had a good sense of what life was at that time, thanks to the very well informed guide.
It's a little bit sad that pictures are not allowed, why not ?

Not much to see, but a hisrorical little street. Neat to see if you are in the area...everything is houses, so no shopping or anything

“Beautiful light on these homes in the late afternoon.”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Considering how close this quaint little alley is to the rest of the more main stream sites in Philly, this would be a mistake to miss it. Spend anywhere from 5 minutes or more... We were there with our 7 and 9 year old mid to late afternoon, and the sun hit the left side of the alley with spectacular light. Kids had fun picturing the horse and buggy access on the narrow cobble stone street. Also, it is very apparent the current residents care for their special street.

“Well maintained alley. Historical”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Just strolling down the oldest street in American has meaning. The homes on the street are well mainlined and look good. Even though ones knows they are on the national registry, Its good to know that this part of history is being retained for generations to come. Strolling in and around old city to get to this location was good as well.
