Modern museum that gives a great history of Jews in America. Great for Jews and non-Jews who want a sense of the contributions of the Jewish people in America.

The truth is I thought this would be a big Isreali stroking festival. I was very much mistaken. The museum covered four floors, was nicely layed out and covered the history of the Jewish people without pushing opinions or politics on us. There were displays on where and when the Jews emigrated, the customs and traditions they took with them, social contributions, synagogues, religious artifacts, the famous, infamous and celebrities and scientific contributions as well as the founding of Isreal. I even enjoyed the gift shop. The entire museum can be covered in about four hours if you spend time reading most of the displays. Otherwise, three hours will suffice. FYI, the gift shop and the admission desk will not take cash on Saturdays. The cafe is also closed Saturdays.

Opened for just a year does an excellent job of telling American Jewish history. More artifacts would make it even better.

This new museum is well thought out, excellent layout and story telling. Worth the better part of a day. Suggest that you leave to pick up lunch and picknick on the park between the museum and the Liberty Bell to break up the visit

We went on opening day and it was very crowded, but it was still a wonderful experience. The museum makes Jewish History in the US come alive. And of course the jewish experience in the US was part of the overall experience for everyone, and so the museum would be of interest to all, although perhaps on a very limited basis for young (under 10) children.
