“Lots of history, beautiful campus”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

Penn has a lot of history and many beautiful buildings, all very close to downtown. It is a fun campus to walk around. Very nice library.

“A scholar's museum...”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I teach college level art history courses and this museum has a wonderful collection of Mesopotamian art from Ur that I show in my classes. In fact, the University of Pennsylvania, along with the British Museum, led the archaeological dig in the 1930s that unearthed the ancient treasures of Ur--treasures that are found no where else on Earth. "The Ram in the Thicket" is among my favorites.

Also, on certain days, visitors can interact with the Department of Conservation and see them working on Egyptians mummies or similar artifacts. This was a favorite part of my visit.

“Nice Campus, Very Historical & Park-Like”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

The University of Penn campus has beautiful historical buildings. The campus is spread out and right in the middle of the Western part of Philadelphia. The students are and staff are both friendly and helpful. There are a variety of places to eat on and around campus. Parking can be an issue, but if you know the good spots (found them driving around), then you will be fine.
