The Constitutional Walking Tour of Philadelphia was an excellent tour. We took the 90 minute walking tour and the time went by very quickly. Jason, our tour guide, was very engaging with all members of the group and provided an interesting and very informative overview of the historical relevance of the people and places that helped shape the formation of the United States. Jason's knowledge and passion on the the subject was apparent. He was the person you wished taught you history in high school! One other point I'd like to make about Jason was he spoke very clearly and was loud enough for everyone in our group to hear him.
I brought a couple visiting from France on the tour with me and they seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience.
I suggest wearing sneakers or comfortable shoes on the tour because you do walk on cobble stones. Also, when we went it was raining very hard. The tour was still very enjoyable even in the pouring rain! Check the forecast so you go prepared with umbrellas if rain is in the forecast!

We had an afternoon to spend in Philly, and we really didn't know which sites to see. We chose this tour, and I'm glad we did. It was a beautiful afternoon to walk around and learn about the history of the area. You do not enter inside any of the specific exhibits, but get to see a lot of the area. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgable.

I lived in Philadelphia for years. I loved visiting Independent Hall. There's a lot of history, and great restaurants in the surrounding area. I suggest everyone visit the hall, walk around old city, and eat a Philly pretzel.

We printed out the tour before we arrived and quickly separated the jobs of navigator (map) from tour guide. The tour is well organized and does a nice job of weaving through the landmarks without making the tour feel like it is running in circles.

We stopped after step 7 (independence hall area) and took a pit stop at Jim's Sreaks (South Street & 4th St) for some authentic cheesesteaks. It was definitely off the tour, but we joined right back with the tour as outlined in Step 8.

There were some stops that were really meaningful and brought the whole independence story full circle. Our favorites were Carpenters Hall, Ben Franklin museum, and Independence Hall.

We took this guided tour, it took about 5 hours and was worth every minute of it. There were plenty of stops, lots of photo ops and tons to learn.

Our guide (in period dress) was super knowledgeable and patient with our large student group of nearly 80. We saw so many sites that make up the core of of the birth of our nation's freedom.

Adults and students came away with a better understanding of our early history and there was enough variety that we all were inspired to learn more.

A great tour, a great overview, a must do for Philly.
