We've been lucky to have gotten reservations at Talula's Table in Kennett Square four or five times so I was particularly thrilled when my wife told me she had gotten reservations at Aimee's new restaurant before all the publicity made it a hot destination. We were absolutely blown away by the evening. The interior decor keeps a slightly rustic ambience and there is a lovely garden built into the alleyway next to the restaurant proper with outdoor seating. The food was as perfect of a dinner as we had experienced at Talula's Table, with TONS of flavors in each dish, yet there was a simplicity where you didn't have to "search" for the duck or lamb or whatever the main ingredient was. Their wine list was a bit shorter than expected for a property in the Steven Starr group, but everything was perfectly suited for cuisine (not a lot of big names on the list, but that meant that the prices were VERY reasonable). Also, there was a great list of micro-breweries available (not a Budweiser or Coors Lite to be seen!). The bottom line is that I really don't want to recommend this restaurant to you because that just means that it'll be harder for me to get a reservation! <GRIN>
Aimee - you've done a masterful job!
