“Horrible service, truly bizarre odor - stay away”
Reviewed 20 March 2014

JUST got back from a lunch trip to watch some March Madness. The good part - they did painting and furniture upgrades it would appear. However, despite only being about a dozen or so folks in there - we waited an hour for food...you know tricky food like a BLT, nachos and the such. The sodas were horrendous - you could tell BY LOOKING at one it was flat - still served it. And the service was just non-existent - like literally "What happened to the waitress"? was said multiple times. It's Philly - you have tons of choices - I think ALL are better.

“Nice and friendly bar”
Reviewed 18 May 2013

Great selection of beers, and the fries are great! But it was the friendly staff that made it worthwhile.

“Dumpy Dump of a Dump.”
Reviewed 28 February 2013

Located in a weird block of Chestnut Street populated with restaurants from 2 Iron Chefs, The Las Vegas Lounge is a cheesy Tavern that smells like an old dishrag. It's dimly lit so that you hopefully won't notice the torn black vinyl seat cushions, or the grime on the bar. I like a good Dive Bar. As long as they're unpretentious and own the fact that they're a dive. But this place seems to be trying way too hard to be a hipster hive. I used to stop in for a beer after work every so often, but they don't clean their taps or lines often enough, and I would get raging headaches from the filth. There are better spots in the neighborhood within a 3 block walk. The best thing about this place is that they have a Ms.PacMan machine.

“Great Food, Amazing Philly Prices, Cheap Brews, Cozy Decor”
Reviewed 12 July 2011

This restaurant sits in center city Philadelphia surrounded by large upscale places seen on the Food Network, Morimoto's, etc. But don't expect a 5 star chef here. The food is very good, large portions and ridiculous prices especially for the city area. 20 oz. drafts for $2.50 (Are you kidding me?) and a cozy, dark, small tavern style place makes for a great time. The lunch crowd was hopping this friday we visited and the waitress and bartender were on the ball. At times it seems as if the owners were also helping and they seem to know how to run a restaurant. The Vegas theme is just that, Dean Martin pictures, Casino pictures line the red colored walls and black decor. Clean restrooms, numerous HD Tvs, great sound system and a good selection of drafts round out this place. Bottom line, if visiting the Liberty Bell (LVL is 1 block away) or looking for a good, well priced lunch, visit this place. If your looking to tell your friends you ate at an Iron Chef's place and paid a fortune then by all means do so. The LVL is a great little place for a good meal, fun times and cheap beer.
