“Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2012

We stayed here for a couple days, including New Year's Eve, and loved our stay here, as always. Although they didn't have my reservation on their computer, Heather was very nice and helpful in getting us checked in quickly and without fuss. We were able to get the military discount, since my fiance is in the Army, and they even upgraded us to the top floor!

Every time we have stayed here, we have always had breathtaking views of City Hall from our room and this time was no exception. We had tons of space in the suite and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room could use some updating and it seemed as though the little lotion bottle in the bathroom had been used and not refilled (it was nearly empty when we checked in) - we also did not have the usual shampoo and conditioner that hotels normally provide, but that really wasn't a big deal for us.

The breakfast was good - your standard eggs and baked goods - as well as yogurt parfaits and the waffle maker. I love that coffee is always available on the 2nd floor.

One of the best things about this hotel is its central location to great restaurants, shopping, and historic sites. This is the second time we've stayed here for New Year's Eve and that put us in the perfect location to catch the Mummer's Parade on New Year's Day. We will definitely stay here again next time we want to stay in town!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor... your views of City Hall only get better the higher you go.

Great location in Philadelphia...easy access to many attractions, restaurants and bars. Ask for a view of City Hall and you won't be disappointed. The accommodations are a bit tired and worn...not a deal breaker, just not luxurious or new. I've stayed here multiple times and most of the time the staff has been very helpful - only once did I have a problem with a staff member and after speaking with a manager, I was helped very quickly.

If you can get a good rate, I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room with a view of City Hall.

Location. Location. Location. Updated lobby and breakfast/cocktail lounge are nice. Now they need to udpate the rooms. Clean and good staff, but my room looked right out of the 80s.

I like this hotel. I was dreading it as I usually stay at higher end hotels on business, but the staff were nice, the rooms comfortable, the internet free and fast and it was clean. I would stay again

We spent a long weekend discovering Philadelphia and this was our "base". You cannot beat this location......it's within walking distance to Reading Terminal Market, Independence Hall and many other "must see" spots. The free breakfast was good.......plenty of options to choose from.

I've stayed at this very hotel more than 12 time over the past several years and I'm a big fan. Let's be realistic folks! You get more than what you are paying for here. First, a complete breakfast is included for all members of your party...all you can eat and hot coffee all day and night too. When weighting the value of this hotel, factor that in!. Renevations that have been recently made to the lounge on the 2nd floor really improved the ambiance of the hotel. Bugs!?! What bugs? I've checked every time and never found one. Clean rooms, hospitable staff and a full kitchen to boot; more savings. All this and right in the heart of the City making most cultural/historical points of interest in Philly walking distance. You can't loose by staying here.

Room Tip: higher floors; corner rooms
