Owner description: Take a Free and Friendly walking tour with us! It’s free, which means you tip us what you want. It’s friendly because we’re friendly folks. And it’s Philadelphia because we love it and want you to love it too. We’re a Philly company and we’ll show you the whole Philadelphia – or the whole of what’s in walking distance. We lend our friendship freely and we’ll gladly recommend a place to go out after the tour.

I am a New Jersey resident and I accompanied my niece and her husband from Germany on this remarkable and most interesting historical walking tour. The young couple was so very impressed with Mike's knowledge and his great enthusiasm for Philadelphia and the founding fathers eloquently expressed in this 2 1/2 hour walking tour. The couple toured NYC & Washington DC but found that a walking tour through a city (with the right guide of course) gives a feel for the city itself, its people, their neighborhoods, local restaurants and the quaint streets.
It was a wonderful time to spent with Mike. The couple has returned to Germany and pass on a heartfelt thank you. Highly recommendable.

We took the Billy Penn tour on our first visit to Philadelphia. Mike was a great guide with loads of local & historical knowledge & it was a wonderful introduction to the city.

I briefly lived in Philadelphia 7 years ago, and my boyfriend Rob is not familiar with it at all. I wanted a top notch tour that would teach both of us MANY things about the city..and we most certainly got it! Mike was an outstanding guide ("the best," says Rob enthusiastically), spoke loudly/clearly, took us to many historical (and some modern) sites, and provided a super cross-section of epic Philadelphia nostalgia. It was funny, instructive, healthy (walking!!), entertaining, enjoyable, and....best of all...Free! Do this tour...wear your walking shoes...and prepare to learn all about the City of Brotherly Love! *please do tip the guides*

We were in Philadelphia for a short visit (our fourth time in the city) and looking for something different to do on a Friday afternoon. We decided to take the shortened version of the Billy Penn Tour. Our guide, Mike, gave us a great tour, especially focusing on City Hall and the old Wanamaker department store. Mike was very knowledgeable and shared interesting stories about the area. We definitely recommend this tour for first-time visitors and folks who've been to Philadelphia before.

I went on the Billy Penn walking tour on a whim and it was a blast. The guide (Mark) was, as the name suggests, super-friendly and gave us an absolutely great time downtown. If you only have a few days in Philly and want to get to know the lay of the land a little (or if you're living here and just want to meet some cool people), this is what you're looking for!

Thank Ugui
