First time in Philly. Beautifully restored historical home with lovely rooms. Clean, spacious, comfortable, great location. Walk to colleges, restaurants, Metro. Biked to museums. Delicious breakfast. Quiet tree lined streets. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Philadelphia room:Cheerful bright green room on 1st floor with colorful stain glass windows and king...

Cornerstone BnB was a good find. Our first impression was that the immediate neighborhood was a little sketchy. We were initially approached by a guy asking for money and we felt a bit uneasy. Innkeeper Dennis met us - his demeanor was not rude but not warm either- kind of Philly-style.
Our room was nice and comfy and the dinner recommendation was great. Right next to Drexel Univ. we felt ok walking once we left the immediate area. The continental bkft was as expected with some great conversation and coffee. If we return to Philly again, I would definitely stay at Cornerstone.

My husband and I stayed in the Philadelphia room and had a very nice, spacious room on the ground level that overlooked the garden. The bathroom was a nice size, too. The room was decorated very nicely and was very clean. Breakfast was a continental bread with some fresh baked breads and cakes. It was more than ample as a start to the day. We enjoyed visiting with the people that we met there. It's a very good location for anyone visiting any of the nearby schools or have business in west Philadelphia or Center Center.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights here and found it to be a good place. The location is close to the Metro which will take you straight downtown. We walked to the downtown and it took about 45 minutes. Our room was the Furness room and it was clean and the quiet for sleeping. The owners were very friendly and had lots of tips on things to do and places to go in Philly. There are restaurants and bars within easy walking distance and we enjoyed sitting on the big front porch with a glass of wine people watching. We were able to get parking on the street for the 3 days. The breakfast was continental with enough food for us. We would stay here again.

Highly recommended. I reserved the Franklin room one month in advance. They upgraded it to a better suite due to occupancy issues. The staff is so nice. Very nice, quiet place, near Drexel University. Walking distance to Market St. and the train station. I stayed there for USMLE exam and they already knew everything about the exam since they've received applicants before. Very helpful. Complimentary Wi-Fi and Breakfast. Since it is a small place, there's no other amenities like swimming pool or fitness center. Overall, very good place to stay!

We were in Philadelphia for a college graduation and selected the Cornerstone because of the convenient location relative to area colleges (and because one of our sons has previously stayed there and was joining us). So, the place came recommended and did not disappoint us. We liked the experience and will return again.

On arrival we were greeted by one of the owners, who showed us the way in which the main door lock worked (without the need for a key). He also explained the time span of breakfast (and that if the normal span would not work for us they would ensure that we got something). We were off to a good start.

The inn has six rooms in three categories and we had one in the deluxe category. Ours was on the first floor located directly off the entrance lobby. It had a king bed and a nice clean bathroom of good size. There were two sitting chairs, a luggage rack and a ceiling fan. There is air conditioning, but it is from a central source and silent - a welcome feature. The other rooms are upstairs. The inn is a restored large house apparently build in the late 1800's. This includes a large porch with comfortable wicker furniture. Parking is on the street - the street in front of the inn has duration restrictions, but some of the adjacent streets to not.

We found our bed to be quite firm, but comfortable. The chairs were comfortable. There was a good modern TV (but we did not use it). The bathroom had prompt hot water and the towels were very good and fluffy. Curtains provide privacy. Free WiFi is available in the inn and on its porch.

There is coffee or tea from a on-demand maker in the lobby along with a continuous supply of snacks (peanuts, almonds, etc. in individual packages) and the morning coffee is available before the breakfast itself. Breakfast on weekends is a cooked breakfast, with something new each day. We had breakfast on Saturday and Sunday - one day stuffed French toast and the other day a egg with a tasty potato and sausage side. In each case fruit was included. On Sunday there were home-baked muffins that were excellent. Along with juices there were also muffins. We were told that on weekdays the breakfast is different - a substantial continental breakfast.

There is a nice dining room that provides adequate seating at breakfast. There is also a smaller room adjacent to the dining room. Three is no large sitting room. The porch serves this purpose in good weather.

The innkeepers are exceptional people. They really like what they do. You will find them engaging and helpful. They provide local information as you might need it and they will chat with you as much as you would like to engage them. They are not intrusive. We can honestly say that after a few conversations with them we actually felt as if they were friends we had known for some time. They are that kind of friendly folk. The innkeepers make this inn a step above the usual. We look froward to visiting again.

Room Tip: The first floor room obviously has no interior stairs to climb.

Place is very clean and well kept. Breakfast was delicious. Owners were friendly and very accommodating when our arrival time was delayed by several hours. Didn't get to spend a lot of time there but would definitely consider another visit.
