Much of center city shopping is here, but that's not very much. Walnut Street between 18th and just past 19th is a very nice spot because of Rittenhouse Square, the city's favorite in-town park. There are some good restaurants on and just off Walnut Street.

“Stick to the historical sightseeing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2013

I don't see any reason to go here. Stick to the historical sightseeing, especially if you have limited time to spend in Philly. I'm sure that you have similar streets with similar stores close to where you live, so you needn't go here.

“Overrated as a Street”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2013

This is more like a glorified alley. Barely two lanes. Always crowded. Parking is a mess. Bike lanes and bus lanes are a joke. This is a street that city planners forgot or couldn't do anything with.

“Shopping Street”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2013

I visit the city twice each month and enjoy window shopping along Walnut Street. Many fine stores located within walking distance to many of Philadelphia's historical sights.
