“A Wonderful Place to Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2012

My wife and I were looking for something to do outside on a beautiful sunny April day and came across the Morris Arboretum. We decided to go in order to be among the many gardens, picturesque scenery and to escape from the hustle and bustle of life. What we found when we arrived at Morris Arboretum was an oasis of calm and beauty. We enjoyed the educational aspects of learning about the many types of trees, flowers, and bushes on the property. We also enjoyed learning about the history and architecture of how the property was created. The vision that went into maintaing and restoring the space is quite remarkable. It was very interesting to understand the many gardens, pathways and exhibits were art created. We had a pleasant time walking among the many exhibits and learning as we went. Please give yourself enough time to walk the property and be among the grounds. It would be interesting to visit during different points of the year especially with the among of florals that bloom at different times. It certainly added quite the array of color that we were able to be there in Spring. There are multiple areas to visit and the grounds are worth the price of admission. I highly suggest this place if you are looking to go on a date, spend time with your spouse, educate your children on agriculture and conservation, or be among the true beauty of nature this world has to offer.

“Walk in the Park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2012

This lovely green space tucked away in the City---is very quaint and very beautiful. Lots of walking paths to take a stroll among the many gardens.
The volunteers are very helpful and informative, and you can find nice little gifts( in the gift shop) at reasonable prices.
Highly recommend.

“Spectacular blooming trees, wonderful family ramble”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2012

A ramble through the Arboretum capped a perfect family celebration on Easter Day. A wonderful place for family members of all ages to enjoy nature, learn tree names, and experience the wonders of all the blooming trees and flowers. The "Out on a Limb" Tree Adventure proved to be a great place to take photos of the toddlers and infants in our group, and will provide much enjoyment in future visits as they grow. The root system on one of the Great Trees was even better. The Arboretum is nicely mapped out and has much variety so it appeals to all ages. A visit to the Arboretum is always a highlight when we visit our son and his family here. There is a stroller-accessible and wheelchair-accessible pathway through the site, but the terrain is hilly and would be difficult for a person with limited mobility to negotiate. They also have several golf-carts which can be reserved in advance for those who need that support.
