I recently visited the Hotel Monaco Philadelphia on a business trip. The hotel met all my expectations. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, the location was superb and the rooms were cute, funky, and comfortable. Nice touches such as wine hour in the lobby. I'll be back!

First, praise to the staff. Every interaction with the staff was stellar. Professional, friendly and extremely helpful and accommodated our every needs during our weekend stay. Management, they make you look good, be proud of your amazing staff on the high quality of customer service. You may need to buy them breakfast or better yet a bonus, just saying.

Rooms are clean, comfortable and decorated funky and reflect the history of Philly in a modern way. And it’s a perfect location to walk around the sites of Philly. I hope to return someday!

Room Tip: We were on 6th floor but all seem to be good. Side on the entrance may be a bit noisy in evening hou...

Thank you for choosing the Monaco. I am in awe of these guys every day but always ecstatic when our guests are able to share that experience as well. We always find ways to celebrate what they do - thanks for the suggestions though!

This was a very clean, nice looking boutique hotel. The location was right next to a bunch of museums so it is a great location if you are planning on checking out the sites. The hotel decor was an Alice in Wonderland theme so it has a very chic feel to it. One thing to note is that valet parking is $40 per day. I would say this is above average cost for overnight city parking, but you are in a premium area.

The room was very clean and large. Two things I did not like about the room: the one window in the room was tiny and the television had some volume issues. The window was very tiny and looked out into an alleyway. So the room was very dark and did not get much natural light. The television had an issue when you would change channels the volume would spike up really loud and then go back at the normal volume. This made watching television pretty much impossible without muting the television to change channels and then un-muting the television after you found a channel. Really annoying.

Other than that, I would stay at this hotel again if I was doing touristy things.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back of the hotel face an alleyway. So there is no view, the windows are very tiny so...

Thank you for choosing the Monaco on your trip to Philadelphia and thanks for the great feedback. With valet you get unlimited in and out privilges, 24-hour access, and the convenience of not having to circle for a spot. We've done our homework there and made sure it is right in line with all other valet options throughout the city. The TV issue sounds annoying to me too. Our crack engineering team can definitely fix those issues, so there's no need to suffer in silence.

The decor is funky, the atmosphere relaxed. The service is splendid and the beds are so so comfy. This is not a Euro trashy place. Plenty of middle America is here. Guests and employees are friendly. The doormen are fabulous.

Room Tip: Rooms are smallish - don't be afraid to upgrade.

Thank you for staying with us. I am certain that I never want to be referred to as Euro trashy, but even more so after reading your assurance that we are not that. Thanks for the unique compliment!

Hotel Monaco is a beautifully, appointed boutique hotel. I stress that it is a boutique hotel as the rooms are not exceptionally spacious (coffee is provided in the lounge each morning beginning at 6 AM); they are well-appointed and comfortable; just what you'd want when visiting Old City, Philadelphia. The lounge area near the front desk is lovely and is the place that guests gather for their morning coffee or wine during wine hour (between 5 - 6 PM, each day). Complimentary local and national newspapers are provided.

The Red Owl restaurant (directly off the lobby) has an assortment of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options and a well-stocked bar.

We were at the Hotel Monaco to facilitate business meetings for our client and the technical and dining staff exceeded any and all expectations. We've presented in many conferences and business meetings and, now that we've experienced Hotel Monaco's level of service, well, we absolutely have a new bar from which to measure! A HUGE shout-out to Michael Clark of PSAV Presentation Services (contracted by Hotel Monaco for all things AV and technical). Mike was extremely helpful and service-oriented when it came to our PowerPoint challenges. We did not need to wait for help; he was on it and got us up and running without losing time with our client. Consultants will appreciate how important responsive, technical assistants is when working with clients!

During our "down time", we explored the Old City, visited historic spots, and ate in wonderful, local restaurants -- all within walking distance from the hotel.

All in all...a great stay at Hotel Monaco; wonderful surroundings; lovely, service-oriented staff all around. Highly recommend!

Michael Clark is definitely a major asset to all of the guests and staff at the Monaco. His commitment to delivering the best experience is really unmatched. Given the nature of his work he doesn't always cross paths with our guests, but he makes a great impact when he does. Thank you for choosing us and the Monaco.

We had the most amazing stay at the Monaco in Phillie this past week. First... LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is diagonally across the street from Independence hall and a block from the Liberty bell and many major attractions. Second, from Brad the person who took care of our car, Andrew at the front desk, Rashid who not only took care of our bags, but gave us a wake up call (back up to the phone one) and was amazing at making recommendations, Aziza who cleaned our rooms, made sure we had enough towels, and took care of Minty and Indy our pet fish ... all the great attention made us feel at home. Third, The room decor was stunning, the bathroom, amazingly designed and very elegant yet functional. The room was quiet, perfect lighting, soft sheets, great amenities including a kite to use, umbrella (which we found after it stopped raining), yoga mat and of course, their signature robes. The wine in the afternoon, coffee in the am and the water all day were just more reasons we keep picking Kimpton Hotels. Lastly, the personalized attention we all received was amazing. The recommendations of places to visit, eat and how to get there made our few days in this city of brotherly love feel like we were loved. THANK YOU ALL!

I have to hope you have higher expectations for how you get treated than your screenname suggests. To be on the safe side, treating our guests like family (at least the family members we're happy to see) is always a great approach.

Hope to have a family reunion with you here again soon.

I enjoyed everything about my stay at Hotel Manaco! I felt like royalty from the moment I arrived. I was warmly greeted by Roshid who i called best friend for the rest of the stay. He was so funny and accommodating and I can be a handful. Location is perfect!!! I can't wait for my next visit!!!!
