“The best kept secret in town !”
Reviewed 17 June 2013

Undoubtedly one of the best Mediterranean food courts in town. My friend got me hooked on the food a few weeks ago and I just have to have it at least 3 or four times per week. Good food, good desserts especially the roasted lamb and beef tatziki. The smoothies are the best kept secret in town and all their prices are very reasonable. If you are in the Walnut St. area, you must try this place, look for the red awning-great treat guys..

“Good Deal! Good Food! Desserts! at U. Penn”
Reviewed 24 October 2012

A visit to the University of Pennsylvania took us down Walnut Street, where we were looking for some good food, but didn't want a full-on restaurant or burgers.

Mediterranean Café is in a dedicated Food Court which we had walked past several times and missed-- maybe because there's a red awning outside which is just like the CVS Pharmacy awning next door.

We had a fine meal, which for 3 adults came to $31.30, and a variety of food, and plenty of it. The Gyro Combo included Roasted Lamb/Beef Tatziki, Hummus, Bab Ghanuj, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Their falafel was perfectly cooked and light.

They have plenty of vegetarian selections.

In addition, they have a huge selection of smoothies, yogurt, ice cream, fancy cones and ice cream bowls, but I have to say, we didn't get to try them because we were too full already!
