“Birthday Celebration”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 January 2014

Had a good time at this place. Saw the other good ratings and decided to trek into the big city.
Not a great looking place inside, but the food makes up for it. Decent prices for very good food.
Remember to bring your own wine. Parking was difficult unless you are willing to pay to park across the street (Very convenient). Definitely would return given the opportunity.
Enjoy.

“Very authentic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2014 via mobile

The place was filled at 4pm on a Sunday when our group arrived after seeing the one day in Pompei exhibit. The food was very authentic Greek. I had excellent lamb meatballs, someone had the grilled lamb chops and another had the lamb shank. The artichokes were also outstanding. Vey cozy. Very Greek.

“Authentic Greek”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2014

Family living in Philadelphia insisted we try this restaurant. So glad we did. The wait staff was so attentive to the point of helping us maneuver a stroller in the door. The food was just outstanding and truly Greek. There is a vast menu of selections to choose from and you cannot go wrong with any of them. Portions are huge so consider sharing. It is BYOB so come prepared . This place will not disappoint.

“Great Greek”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

Cozy little restaurant in the Art Museum area. The food was excellent. Starting with a very nice grilled octopus appetizer and a Greek salad large enough for four to share, our main courses were super. My wife had a delicious eggplant dish. I had the octopus dinner, served with a side of vegetables. Our friends had nicely done salmon and chicken. Good value, super friendly service. BYOB

“Authentic flavors with a Philly twist.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2013

We'd worked up quite an appetite viewing the brilliant 'Leger' exhibit at the Museum of Art, so we drove down Fairmount Ave. to an area full of shops and restaurants and spotted Zorba's. I walked inside to discover a cozy little bar and dining room filled with tantalizing aromas. We sat down across from a Greek family (always a good sign) and ordered the assorted cold appetizer plate, which included a caviar spread, hummus, garlic spread, eggplant & tomato spread, tzatsiki, feta cheese spread, a stuffed grape leaf, olives, sliced cucumber, and of course, some warm pita bread. Each item was intensely flavorful and distinct...nothing timid here.

For the main course, I ordered a delicious Lamb Sandwich, full of tender, juicy meat, with lettuce, tomato, tzatsiki, and a few french fries thrown in (that's the Philly twist), all wrapped up in pita bread. My husband got a Seared Salmon Plate with tasty cubed potatoes and a vegetable melange - all cooked to perfection.

It's obvious why the Greek family across from us has been coming here for years!
