I recently moved to Philadelphia and still have a hard time figuring out the beer, wine and liquor laws. Yet right around the corner is the Foodery! From 4-7 half price on appetizers and discounts on draft crafted beers as well as bottles. When you enter one of the first things you notice is a wall of glass coolers filled with varieties beers from a myriad of locations. Enjoy there or take home! The "bar" is small but there is a good amount of seating for friends to hang. I've met someone new everytime I've stopped in.

This was our first night in Philly (Aug 24th) from the UK we decided to go in to this great looking bar will wall to wall beers. Unfortunately, that was as good as it got. The member of staff serving (a guy, mid twenties)) was probably the rudest person we came across in our whole 10 day tour of the Eastern US. He initially ignored us and then virtually shouted at my wife for asking a simple question as we had never been there before and continued to be obnoxious. We were on the verge of making a complaint to the manager but it was our first night in the city and we just wanted to get out of there. Philly is a great city and we will recommend it to all our UK friends but this bar really lets your city down and the owner has probably pumped a lot of money in to it and is letting someone else ruin it.

Currently sat here drinking our beer. We were on the point of walking out as there server was incredibly rude and obnoxious. Ignored us to chat to the younger girl behind the bar and then had a really poor attitude. First time in Phillips from the UK.....really poor representation of the city.

Great selection of beers, probably to men what toy shops are to kids. Food was nice an for the most part the staff were nice - only exception was the guy working the day shift, he didn't want to discuss the beers on tap in any detail (probably because I swore by saying the lager word) and was pretty short with the conversation. We went back later that evening and the guy at the counter was much friendlier. The food was great, we had their answer to a philly (short rib) cheese steak and it hit the spot.

Food, convenience items and coffee is great, but the bottled beer selection across their various Phila-area outposts will keep folks coming back.

Over the years I've found great bottles here that I haven't seen in the area elsewhere. Unfortunately, prices can be high, but it's a larger city with rarer/popular craft beer bottles to go, it should almost be expected that you'll pay more than you should.
