“like heaven on earth”
Reviewed 5 March 2013

I first found this place when visiting Philadelphia for a conference, after asking the local fire depo about a good, non-touristy, restaurant. And im so glad that i did. I go back every year for my birthday with my family and its the best treat. the food is wonderful, and the coffey, tea, and deserts are just heavenly. Grace, the owner, is the sweatest woman, and truely goes all out for your comfort. everything is fresh and unique. its a bit small, but it makes it all the cozier. I highly recomend this cafe to everyone.

“the best chinese and coffee cafe in town”
Reviewed 27 December 2012

I have the absolute pleasure of eating at Ray's Cafe monday thru Friday because I'm employeed directly across the street. First things first. Grace, who is the owner of Rays Cafe is the best hostess in town. Besides having the best selection of coffee, tea and food, she always serves it up with a smile.

Grace's has coffee from all over the world. The best part is you can take Ray's coffee home and enjoy it at your leisure.

Her Food is made to order and it is by far the best chinese food in Chinatown. There are no additives or artifical flavorings added to her receipes. My all time favorite is her House Noodle Soup. I eat her soup every single day Monday thru Friday even during the hot summer days.

If you have never eaten at Ray's Cafe & Tea house, please come on down to Chinatown and taste what you have been missing.

Best fried rice I've ever eaten!! The service was friendly and fast, and the prices were very reasonable. Plus, you received a lot of food for your money!

“Great siphoned coffee”
Reviewed 8 December 2011

loved the flavors but the meat in the the chicken asparagus soup was only two pieces. Husband ordered a chicken with brown sauce and vegtables which was delish. Not hugh portions. The real treat was the siphoned coffee. Got Rays blend with half and half .....the real treat was watching it made. Small place in Chinatown but I would go there again if for nothing else the coffee....even over starbucks which I love.
