If you're in NE Phila, don't miss Lipkins. It's been around for ages and it's the last of its kind--old school hamantashen, challah, bagels, babka, cheesecakes etc etc.. and the owner Mitch Lipkin makes knishes! Many "flavors" - veggie, onion and mushroom and potatos cheese etc... Lipkins is in a changing (but still safe) neighborhood. All you have to do is see the boxes stacked up, at Lipkin's, each one labeled with the name of a local synagogue, ready to have danish, babka and cakes delivered for their onegs, from Lipkin's. Oh, and everything is cheap, too. Prices haven't gone up since 1978
