“A Church for all Ethnic Catholics”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

I have never visited a church with breen colored walls. And, everyone is welcome here. I understand that in the outskirts of Philly, a person could go to the Polish Church or the Irish Church or the Italian Catholic church ....all with eye sight of each other.

“A beautiful experience”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

This is a wonderful visit that anyone coming to Philadelphia should include in their itinerary. The building is simply beautiful and I was able to use my smartphone scanner to download a tour of the building using my earphones--loved it. .

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

Definitely worth popping in for a bit of cool, quiet and majesty to break up your busy day in Philly. I used to love the little ceremony of making a donation and lighting a candle using a bit of straw and the flame of an already-burning votive in memory of loved ones who have passed away but even this grand old cathedral has gone electric. It's just not the same. :((

“Everyone should stop in and experience the beauty and peacefulness...”
Reviewed 26 September 2013

You get a sense of peace when entering this massive, beautifully decorated cathedral. Located in Center City across from the "Sister City's Park" it's lovely to view from the outside or inside. People of all faiths can experience the peaceful inside or the beautiful architecture and design this landmark holds.

“Takes breath away inside”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

We did this on our Big Bus tour of the city and it's well worth it. The area outside is just beautiful with the Love Fountain nearby and Franklin Institute and the Logan circle fountain. We stepped inside the cathedral and a very sweet gentleman gave us a guide to walk through and it explained the alters. We did not take the tour but just walked around the sanctuary and then walked around the block outside. It is stunning architecture and just breath taking features inside. Amazing to think of all the time and effort into keeping a place like this so stunning and open to the public. There is a little café outside also. You could probably walk here from almost any of the other area historic sites.
