This perfectly-preserved cathedral is as grand as many I have seen in foreign countries. Go inside to fully appreciate all of the architectural detail and adornments. The statues are lovely.

This is the most beautiful church in Philadelphia
Even if your not catholic you must visit it is beautiful
Mass is offered upstairs and in the chapel a must to attend
It is a very humbling experience

The outside of this cathedral looks great, and with the new buildings in the background, it really stands out. The inside is simply remarkably ornate. Beautiful stain glass windows, lovely alter, impressive organ, and fabulous dome ceiling. Well worth a visit

We stopped in for look and a quick prayer walking back to our hotel from the Franklin museum. My wife is Catholic, I'm not, but I enjoyed the art and architecture. This city is set-up for walking, but there's lots of transportation.

I have never visited a church with breen colored walls. And, everyone is welcome here. I understand that in the outskirts of Philly, a person could go to the Polish Church or the Irish Church or the Italian Catholic church ....all with eye sight of each other.
