“An Amazing and Grand Cathedral!”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Opened in 1864, and the largest Catholic church in Pennsylvania - this place is simply amazing! Inside the sacred structure, you will discover various shrines, altars, statues and art. With its grand façade, vaulted dome, ornate main altar, and eight side chapels, this place is definitely a must see when visiting Philly!!

“Reverent Mass Whisks You To The Heavens”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Gorgeous Cathedral that is striking. The Sunday evening mass was so holy and reverent for prayer. The organ music made you feel as if you were in the heavens!

“WOW! Don't Miss This!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

I have been all over the world and I always make sure to visit the cathedrals. This Basilica in the heart of Philly is one of the best I have ever seen. The artwork is stunning and the mosaics are lovely also. No one was there...people are too busy to stop in and take a look at masterpieces that rival the art museum It's a MUST see.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Beautiful church right in the heart of Philly and surrounded by modern buildings, but this stands strong. Interesting story about the areas that look like windows should be there, but church did not want those that opposed the church to vandalize the church, so they did not install windows and bricked them up instead.
