“Amazing!”

Five of us were on a business trip and our concierge sent us here when we asked for tapas. It did not disappoint. Everything we tried, from meats to veggies, signature cocktails to olives, was delicious. We had such a wonderful time!

“Wow. You have to stop in.”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

We stopped in for some Tapas and wine. The duck confit wrapped in serrano ham is out of this world. Also had great brussel sprouts and heirloom tomato salad. There are so many more to try, we know we will go back.

“Outstanding”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

What a find! My son and I walked here from the Sofitel after studying the TA restaurant reviews of Philadelphia. There was a large selection of restaurants from which to choose, but Tinto looked promising.

We were the first ones in the restaurant, but that changed quickly. It was pretty busy for a Monday night.

We decided to have the "upgraded" tasting menu ($75/person), which as we understood was with better charcuterie. It was worth it.

The charcuterie came with three cheeses (goat, blue, Basque), membrillo, and jamon, which was terrific. The pulpo (octopus) was lovely with a smoky tomato sauce. It was slightly salty to my taste, but perfectly cooked. We had the shrimp, which was just okay. The duck confit was delicious as were the scallops with parsnip puree. The wagu beef with mushrooms was too salty, but perfectly cooked.

We ended with a dessert of chocolate versus fruit. Excellent balance.

Our waiter Devon was very helpful in helping me to choose a wine. I started with a Rioja Rose and then changed to a a red for dinner. They were both very good. Service was outstanding. Poor Devon had to answer lots and lots of questions from us, but he was very patient, and I appreciated that.

This was just a terrific meal, and I hope to repeat it in the near future.

“My wife's favorite meal in Philly”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Went for dinner on our 19th anniversary and we were very favorably impressed. the food was excellent. The service was prompt but patient in that we would try one course before we ordered the next so we could take our time and not fill up. Our server was happy to help and gave us great advice on each course.

“Always a highlight of a Philadelphia visit!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

We cannot visit Philadelphia without a return to Tinto! The excellent tapas are complex in flavor, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable; happy to describe the dishes and make recommendations. In this case, we had the chef's tasting menu which was outstanding, but (as another reviewer has noted) be prepared and go hungry! Can't wait to go back!
