My girlfriend had read some reviews on Tinto which said that it was romantic. I took her for her birthday dinner this weekend and other then the fact that it has low lighting we did not find it to be romantic. It is loud, we sat in un-comfortable high top bar stools even though I had requested a nice table when making the reservations, we were dressed nice as you should be for a Saturday evening dinner at a nice restaurant yet several men came in with shorts, tee shirts and sneakers in several different parties, nothing about it was what we would consider romantic. We did the chef's tasting menu which was a nice amount of food for the money and the food was all good to very good but nothing we would call great. The sangria by the pitcher was good but your glass is all ice and the pitcher is all ice. My suggestion is that if you want to try Chef Varga's tapas you should go to Amada. At least people seem to dress nicer there and it is a little more romantic if you get a good table.
