We stayed for a few nights while college hunting in the Philly area. Hospitality is Janet's passion (she's the owner). She made accommodation for our diets and schedule and provided us recommendations for restaurants that were excellent. If you need any information to help with your visit to Philly, Janet is an expert source. She grew up here. The room was very comfortable and "toothbrush" clean. The Inn is very well maintained and updated along with wonderful antique furniture. The location was ideal for visiting several area colleges and very convenient to downtown (we walked to the Philly art museum). One morning Janet said she was up early to accommodation a guest who was checking in at 5:30 AM (I say that's above and beyond the call of duty, but that's Janet's commitment to hospitality). If you are accustomed to the facilities of a modern hotel, you may be put off by a truly historic building like Spruce Hill Manor, but if you are looking for service and exceptionally cozy/homey hospitality near the heart of a bustling city, this is the place for you.
