There were 10 of us at my Granddaughter's Dance recital, and somebody had a last minute idea 'Let's go get something to eat." OK, but where? I am so happy that my daughter came up with the idea to go to Penrose. The staff was accommodating, we sat immediately and our drink orders were taken and served in a short time. The problem was that quite a few people had the same idea after the local recital. It got packed with people wanting to eat. This slowed down the time for our food orders, but one does have to be reasonable, and this circumstance was, I believe, out of the ordinary.
When the food did come, it was hot, fresh and tasty. 10 people of 4 generations ordered everything from steak, to seafood, to chocolate pudding with whipped cream. Our patient, pleasant, sweetheart of a food server (I am so sorry I did not get her name) was a dream. She smiled her way through cranky, tired and hungry kids to an abrupt great -grandmother. I will go again, and even again after that, whenever I am in the area and I need a meal. At 14.50 per person average for dinner that is somewhat of a great tasting bargain.
