A high-rise modern hotel just by a park on Penns Landing - a good area for walks. Had rooms with City and River views and both are equally good. Wifi is only free in the lobby just by the Coffee shop - strangely it wouldn't work in the Breakfast room. Otherwise it was up to our expectations.

I would like to give them Average rate for this hotel.

Pros : One of few buildings located right next to River, with awesome view of both Philadelpia Downtown and the river. New Jersey is visible across the river. Clean lobby area.

Cons : Parking Garage to Hotel Lobby is far apart. Requires you to take 3 different elevators to get to your room. If you have a lot of luggage, would be better to leave it in the lobby area.
Breakfast was decent except for "Made to order" Omelet being made on a portable butane stove, and most importantly doesn't taste/look good. Some restaurant staffs looked not very experienced.
Little Loud at night because of Local Bike Riders. I could hear engine breaking sounds.

Room Tip: Corner room had good view, if they are available. Rooms on the River side may be quieter.

I called ahead to confirm they have Gluten Free options for meals, and was told yes. Once there I was told there were no options for breakfast, and very little to offer for lunch and supper. Price for all food was too high for the quality received.

We attended a show at the Susquehanna Center in Camden, and the Hyatt was the perfect hotel because it was so close to the river ferry that took us to Camden. It is extremely convenient for that, but a bit isolated from Center City otherwise.
That being said, the staff were all pleasant, the room was great, and we could not have asked for more.

Hotel was great. A little bit away from the action but we were able to walk to where we wanted to go. Was nice to comeback to at the end of the day. Very quiet. We were able to take the Philly Plash from Penn's Landing into the old city and walked to Society Hill for dinner one night.
Our rate included parking so we felt we had a good deal. There was a coffee shop off the lobby so we had a muffin and coffee one morn. Another day we bought danish at Reading Market and made coffee in the room.

Room Tip: all the rooms had a view. We overlooked the Delaware River.

Visits to Philadelphia hotels in prior years in have been a hassle regardless of price. The Penn's Landing Hyatt Regency was easy to reach and within walking distance of city attractions. The Delaware River location provided a nice view and separation form the city traffic. Being on the river Valet parking was a hefty $40 per night. It is better than dealing with some of the parking garages at other hotels, however.

The rooms were well maintained and comfortable. The restaurants were adequate to good. The best feature of this hotel was the pleasant, professional and accommodating staff.

When the occasion arises, I shall return to this hotel rather stay elsewhere in Philly.

It was a real treat to stay at this luxury hotel. We're used to 2-star motels but stayed here because of a wedding. I don't even consider hotels like this when I'm planning our vacations because they are too pricey. But this Hyatt Regency had a summer room rate special that rivaled a motel we stayed at this past spring (May 2013) outside of Yosemite Park in CA which turned out to be pretty bad. Since motels rates have increased so much over the past decade, and we got this luxurious, no-worry spotless, peace-of-mind comfortable room for literally only $10/day more, I will do more comparative shopping from now on and not make so many assumptions. BTW, the room rate was a real summer special and not part of a wedding block. Only down side was we had to pay exorbitantly for parking separately.

Room Tip: All directions had a nice city view, but looking east over the Delaware River was particularly sceni...
