“Great View, Great Breakfast, maintenance needs TLC”

Great view from this place on the river side of the hotel or higher floors, great breakfast buffet and front staff, but house keeping needs some work. Some reddish mold around fixtures in the bathroom (easily taken care of) gum on the carpet (a wad), 5 days we stayed an no dusting, erratic towels (some day facecloths, others not or no bathmat) one day no bed making, just the way we left it. It's not a hotel in the midst of the action, but walking distance to everything in Old City to City Hall. A bit of a walk or quicker metro ride to Museums - Don't miss Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Room Tip: River side is really sunny, get a room away from elevators and ice machine though. Dinner in Keating...

We only stayed one night as we were traveling but so glad we picked this hotel for our stay in Philadelphia. Hotel is right in Penn Landing on the river, so great view. It's location was perfect as it was a very easy walk up to all the historic sites in downtown Philadelphia as well. Rooms are spacious and very nice. Had their breakfast buffet in the morning before setting off to explore Philadelphia and it was delicious. Staff are extremely helpful and went out of their way to show us where all the 'key sites' to visit were in Philadelphia. Would definitely recommend staying here.

No valet parking attendant to take your car from you. One reservation person on duty when we arrived (1:30 pm) and a 15 minute wait until another person came out (on her own) to help deal with the waiting line. (She was terrific!). The first person appeared to take a passive-aggressive delight in watching the line of disgruntled guests grow! Had to wait for the unsmiling host to seat us. Long wait until lunch was served. Breakfast was faster (a buffet!). Often in took 8 - 12 rings for the operator to pick up a call.
Clear under-staffed and smiles are rare. Many of the staff seems disgruntled. As a conference planner, this is not the image Hyatt wants to project.

Great staff and quality of hotel. A wonderful view of the river surrounding area. A very nice section of the city and short walk to many places to tour and find a wonderful selection of eating choices. Very clean and safe. The parking although additional was clean and seemed safe.

The location was ideal, with plenty of fun activities, bars and restaurants within a pleasant walk. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were attentive and caring. The overall value of this hotel is excellent

We lost our guaranteed late arrival room because they overbooked. We even called the hotel in advance of our arrival. We had an exhausted one year old and there was nothing they could offer us at the hotel and we ended up getting back to New York at 1 am.

Room Tip: at a different hotel.

hyatt provides 1st class service at nations first capitol. we enjoyed the hyatt during a rather busy time during our stay but the service with hyatt employees was consistent and reliable. the concierge can write upside down on a map as he provides intimate details about the city and where to go (and not go) which is nice.
