“Huge Room!!”
Reviewed 26 January 2012

I was visiting Philadelphia for a wedding and was booked into the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel. The room proabably should have been called a suite given its wonderful comfortable size, which was great for two guests. The concierge was helpful and patient with all the questions about sites, transportation, tours etc. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to many sites, restaurants, and cafes and city activities. Definitely a great place to stay.

Hi luangel
I have to agree, a wonderful place to stay! Thank you for sharing your comments with the Trip Advisor community. Our rooms are some of the most spacious in the City. In a former life, the hotel was an apartment building. After an extensive renovation we were left with the most varied sizes and shapes of any sleeping rooms around! Our guests love the comfort; such as you explained.
Thanks again for sharing-

I have relatives in Philadelphia and stay at the Warwick almost every time I visit them. Just a block from Rittenhouse Square, it's within a short walk of the city's best restaurants (try the new Starr restaurant, Parc, a French bistro that's right around the corner). The shops on Walnut and Chestnut are fun, too.

Hello JMWnvt
Really appreciate your loyalty, thanks so much for sharing your comments with the TA community! You're right about the location; in addition to over 50 restaurants within a 3 block walk, some of the city's coolest shops and most interesting museums also share the immediate area with us. Hope to meet you the next time you come by!

I have now stayed at this hotel on 5 occassions when in Philadelphia on business and have just booked my next 12 night stay for next month. This hotel is a home away from home and the only place I would consider staying in the city. Close to absolutely everything and with so much to do in the area. I love Philadelphia and tend to wander out in the evenings after work for a bite or just to chill. Try Fado on Locust and 15th or McCrosson's on N20th past the Franklin Institute for some great places to chill). Also as my business trips usually include a weekend it is the perfect base from which to explore the city for the weekend. But on the nights when I still have work to do or when I just want to relax, the rooms are very well equiped with a large work desk and free wi-fi or the gym on the 4th floor, which while a little small is never too crowded and is just about right for my needs. I have had a varied selection of rooms on my travels, some larger than others but all perfect for a longer stay. The larger ones in particular (Rm 701 in December) are well fitted out with plenty of space and would be my recommendation.

Parking is a little on the expensive side and not being a big breakfast eater, it would be useful to have a Bed and Parking option for people not wanting B+B. Food is great and the service is outstanding. On my last visit I had a late flight, but wanted to wander around the town for the afternoon. Securing a late checkout was not problem at all. On previous occassions whenever I have had a question (never a complaint) the front desk staff have sorted it immediately. On one occassion a small problem with my room had been rectified by the time I made it back up!

For as long as I continue coming back to Philadelphia I will return to this hotel every time. Keep up the great work guys and see you next month.

M

My overall experience was good, but the thermostat in our room did not work and I had to sleep with the window open in late December. Parking was about what you would expect in the city and the hotel parking is $34 a night. I suggest parking in the Latimer Garage 2 blocks away on Latimer St between 15th and 16th. 24 hours for $15.

Hello Adam B
Thank you for choosing to stay with us; we know you had several choices in the immediate area. I am a bit dissappointed that the heating system did not operate properly. If possible, please let me know what room you stayed in so that I can ensure this situation has been addressed. Also, if you plan to come back in to Phila, please let us know so that I can select a perfect room for your stay. Thanks again; wishing you a happy and successful 2012.

My husband and I stayed here (after getting a great deal on Last Minute Travel) for a second time in November. The room was spacious and they were able to accomodate a pull out sofa for a few extra people easily. The hotel has a very cool, classic, and historic vibe to it. We will definitely stay again when we need to be back in Philly in the future.
