The staff was excellent and helpful with directions/places of interest. Rooms clean. Breakfast excellent. Location was not in the middle of the traffic around the battlefield but this turned out to be a blessing.

I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of our room at this hotel. when we arrived, we first found a flyer for Holiday Inn express on our floor. hmmm. Upon taking a closer look, we then noticed chips all over the floor! Didn't anyone vacuum in here? Finally, we found a diabetes test strip on the floor. Now that is medical waste with possible blood born pathogen risk. Ugh!!! When we went to ask for a room change, they offered us a king room. Great, except there are three of us, and it is not an upgrade to have to sleep on a sofa bed. Next, we asked for the room to be cleaned, but at 6:00pm, we were told there was NO MAINTENANCE THERE!! A large hotel chain, almost fully booked, in the peak summer time, and no maintenance. Finally someone was found who could clean up quickly, but they placed that nasty Holiday Inn flyer on MY BED!!! gee, thanks. Next, we requested a quiet room, but we were placed right next to the elevator. Not exactly quiet. It wasn't horrible, but we did hear people coming and going, and the elevator going up and down. We also found the breakfast equally disappointing. I don't know how it is possible, but the waffles come out tough, the only eggs you could get were pre-made western omelet things, so if you just want scrambles eggs, too bad. Not a very good Hampton Inn experience. I would not recommend this hotel. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the young man at the front desk, Travis. He was friendly, professional, and tried to help us with the little he had to work with. I do not blame him, I blame the management and chain for leaving their hotel so short staffed!

No previous reservation, but were able to get a room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Located near restaurants and even several shopping centers near by. Only about 5 miles from Gettysburg and the Civil War Visitor Center.

We stayed in this hotel 4 nights in early August. Some things that may be helpful:
1) There is very little drawer space. If you don't mind living out of your suitcase not a problem.
2) There is no actual table in this room. Don't plan on eating in this room since there is also only one office-type chair and one straight chair.
3) The thermostat is tricky. In most locations people complain it's too hot but this room was too cold. The only way to warm the room is to put the A/C off.
4) Breakfast ranges from mediocre to poor. Cheerios and yogurt may well be your best bets.
5) This location was converted from another hotel chain. This May account for the majority of above issues since we've never experienced these in other Hampton locations.

On a positive note, the front desk staff, especially Chenille (sp?) were very nice and extremely helpful. They answered all our questions and Chenille provided excellent information on 2 restaurants.

My wife and our two kids recently stayed here for two nights, during a tour of Gettysburg. The hotel is close to the center of town, and any other attractions you may wish to visit. We had a room on the second floor at the front of the hotel, and despite other reviewers posts about noisy rooms, we found the rooms to be very quiet and extremely clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast, while not gourmet food, was perfect to get our day started, and save us the time of traveling out to a restaurant for breakfast.

Great hotel for a three night stay. Easy to get into and out of, close proximity to the highway and local sights. Staff was spectacular helping with various requests and needs. Late night desk clerk went way beyond her duties to help out with non hotel issues beyond her control, but was willing to assist as much as possible. Breakfast was a bit lacking, but the quality of food provided was adequate.
