Typically, we had lunch in the past at Cafe Saint Amand. We just had dinner at the Bistro last night and it was enjoyable. Right now it's peak tourist season for Gettysburg and I guess only the locals and a few tourist that like French food were having dinning. That being said the service was very good but that has been always the case in the past. The menu is good Crepes as one would expect, is on the menu. Their website has 3 menus with prices. It's worth a eating at if your are visiting. Enjoy!

Looking forward to eating here based on other reviews and menu. Appetizer of beef tips was tender and flavorful, however, someone must of forget the cover to the salt shaker. Within 2 minutes of the appetizer being served one of the 'first' courses was served (way too soon). My first course came much later than spouses (salad). No kidding within one minute of that main course served. My filet was medium - to medium well (requested medium rare) about 5 green beans with boxed mashed potatoes. never once asked how anything was. Total disappointment. Could have been an off night, but won't return.

Beautiful presentation, healthy and delicious food. Had lunch there twice. Highly recommend it. Weather cooperated and we ate outside on the sidewalk.

We were very excited to eat here because we read such great things about the restaurant and we planned to try two meals here -- dinner and breakfast. Our first visit was for dinner. Our waiter seemed very strange and clueless. Said he was a philosophy major in college (maybe that explains a lot). He forgot to bring our drinks -- just forgot. Then we asked for balsamic vinegar to dip break in and he brought balsamic salad dressing. When one of us ordered a coconut latte for dessert, he said "a Coke and a latte?" Seriously? Weird. The worst part was that two of us ordered beef borgournane (sorry, I forget how to spell it). The dish was amazing, but both of our servings of meat had cold spots throughout. He offered to replace them, but we had eaten most already and the cold spots were toward the middle. Then he came back and announced that he already had the kitchen working on two more. I begged him not to waste that much food. He wanted us to take it home with us, but we were checking out the next day. We finally talked him into telling the kitchen not to prepare two new dishes. Instead, he gave us two free desserts (about $5 each) and 10% off of each dish ($20 each, so $2 discount). Really, the food was very good and the atmosphere is nice. But the service was terrible. The only consolation was that we suspected the poor service was just this one guy, not the whole staff.

We actually went back for breakfast the next morning. It took a long time to get service, and someone forgot to put coconut in our coconut lattes. But otherwise, the food was spectacular. We had two different kinds of crepes and two of the restaurant's special, Croque Madame and Eggs Florentine. Amazing.

Bottom line is that if you're willing to get through a couple of gliches, then you'll be rewarded with very good food. Just adjust your expectations because this isn't New York or Chicago -- Gettysburg is NOT the culinary mecca of the country.
