The food here was great as was the service. We were a bit adventurous and tried the quail egg app and it was fantastic. The stew was also great. I would recommend making a reservation as it can get extremely busy on a weekend night.

We've gone to Garryowen's several times during our two trips to Gettysburg and cannot wait to go back. The Guinness beef stew is a MUST! It's such a simple but perfectly done dish you will find yourself longing for it back home. The dinner salads are nicely done, a step above the usual one slice of cucumber and two cherry tomatoes. However, the real prize is the house made salad dressings - unique, tastie and true to the names. The hamburgers are generous, moist and served on fantastic rolls! Another gem is the Shepherd's Pie. A generous serving topped with mashed potatoes. A really great sauce and meat that melts in your mouth! You can't get these dishes at home...not with the taste packed into them from Garryowen's. The staff is friendly, attentive without being intrusive and helpful with suggestions. A true gem of the town!

Nothing over the top. My husband and I went here after the marathon for lunch. We both got burgers and beers. The burgers really weren't special. They seemed a little dry, but the buns were good. The fries were really good. I don't see the hype, but I don't have anything to complain about either. The waitress was nice.

A little tricky to find this pub, but it was worth the search. Nice, location on a main street in downtown Gettysburg. Really enjoyed our dinner there. Nice variety of choices. The food was excellent.
