Description: Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

“Best Shepherd's Pie I've ever eaten”

There is nothing better after a full day out on the battlefield than the Shepherd's Pie and a Guinness at Garryowen's. We have it every year (sometimes twice) before we go home.

“Good food, relaxed atmosphere”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

We had a great meal here. Two of us had the bangers and mash which was very good and a size able portion for those with big appetites. My husband ordered the Guiness Beef Stew which he reluctantly allowed me a taste. It was great also! Our waitress was attentive, food came out quickly and the setting was fun and relaxed. We were there for lunch. They do have live music on the weekends.

“Excellent casual fare”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

Garryowen presents exactly what it advertises: good pub food in a friendly atmosphere. No pretense, no frills, and a nice mixture of tourists and locals.

Amazing food! No wonder it was rated best Irish food outside of Ireland. A must try because words cannot do the food justice.

Typical Irish pub with good food but very noisy. Best onion soup ever. Skip Scotch eggs. Great mussels and crab bisque soup
