“Puts your freedom in perspective”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Did a private audio tour from the car, with a c.d. that explained what had happened and where it had happened. So many young men fought for the freedom of all men and died for the principles set forth by this country.

“A step back in history”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Hubby is a civil war buff so we took a trip to Gettysburg as part of a chartered tour. The first stop was at the Visitor Center and Museum. Lots of informative exhibits and a theater for presentations. My favorite part was the cyclorama.

The gift shop has lots of great souvenirs -- books, shirts, toys, etc.

“Excellent presentation”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

We have done this presentation twice in the last two years and have learned something new each time. The video is well done and the circular diorama is most effective and beautifully painted.
Museum is also nicely laid out with numerous artifacts that takes some time to go through.
All in all a worthwhile visit showing a very important time in American history.

“Great visitor center -- see it before you tour the battlefield”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

This is an extremely well-designed and constructed museum. The information they present here will significantly enhance your experience out on the battlefield itself. Even the exhibits on weaponry will play a key role in your understanding of this key battle. The cost for the museum, movie, and cyclorama are reasonable. In the visitor center itself, you'll find essential visitor services, including restrooms, a very nice bookstore and gift shop, and an excellent cafe, so that you don't have to leave the area to find food.
