“Outstanding experience in Gettysburg”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2012

My wife and I decided to stay at this B&B after doing some research online and speaking with Greg on the phone about accommodations and ideas for our trip to Gettysburg.

We arrived in the afternoon and met Greg who told us about the Inn and surroundings. We were the only guests in the main house at the time and Greg gave us a tour of the Inn. All of the rooms were nice, but we liked ours on the first floor the best.

We were very pleased with the quality of the rooms. The fresh fruit and muffins provided for our stay were delicious. I attached a couple of pics from our room. It is truly a beautiful room and very comfortable. We found the room to be surprisingly quiet considering its proximity to the main square.

Greg and Jeannine were very helpful during our stay providing insight on things to see and do. Their advice was excellent regarding restaurants in the Gettysburg area. They also provided information and advice on future travel plans to Lancaster County and Philadelphia.

The Inn is centrally located on the main square in Gettysburg and is within easy walking to distance to most things in town. It is also a simple drive to see the sites around the battlefield. We originally had planned on doing one of the segway tours but after chatting with Greg about the private tours we decided to go that route. I was glad we did. Greg was able to send out a message to his group of licensed tour guides and was able to hook us up with an outstanding gentleman. He arrived at the Inn and took us on a 2 hour tour of the battlefield that was very interesting. He provided a great deal of information that was very beneficial in understanding the strategies, overviews and insights of the battle. I would highly recommend getting a private tour. We were thrilled with ours and we have Greg to thank for making that suggestion and making that happen.

We will definitely stay here again as the Inn is perfect for our needs. The level of service for guests is outstanding.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Lincoln Square. Rooms are huge, beds are comfortable, ambience is very welcoming. There is a little noise from traffic since you are right on the square, but it is worth it to be in such a perfect central location. Restaurants and shops are literally at your doorstep. Our only suggestion would be to improve the continental breakfast. Muffins from the day before and a fruitbowl are not the best offering, especially considering the kitchenette in the room. Fresh cream for the welcome Keurig (not coffeemate!), some yogurt and granola with berries, for example, would be most welcome.
We plan to return and look forward to spending more time in this charming place.

We have stayed in Gettysburg many times over the past four years, with a daughter at the College. Unfortunately, we didn't find out about the Inn until last year, after trying several other lodging spots around town. Our most recent weekend stay in the Sarah Danner townhouse was awesome, as were our previous visits. There is no place like the Inn at Lincoln Square. We are not history buffs, but staying in a house that is almost 200 years old in one of the most historically significant towns in the US is really cool! The added bonus is the suites/townhouses also offer all of the modern conveniences that make your stay perfect. They are beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and meticulously maintained. You really feel at home from the moment you are greeted by Greg and escorted to your suite or townhouse.

Greg and Linda really know how to make your stay perfect...give the Inn a try. You will never stay anywhere else in Gettysburg.

An absolutely perfect location... could walk everywhere except the battlegrounds... and there are free buses for that if you so choose. The rooms were large and well-appointed. Bad part is we were gone so much that we didn't do much more than sleep in them. The amenities, including wi-fi, comfortable couches, a kitchenette, fruit, snacks and coffee would have been wonderful to enjoy in and of themselves. Greg and Jeannie were more than helpful. Everything centers around your comfort and satisfaction.

Room Tip: We were two couples one on bottom floor, the other on second. I think both suites were fine but, if...

We spent three nights in Gettysburg at the Inn at Lincoln Square. We were not disappointed. The rooms were large and wonderfully decorated. We were in the Mary Juliet Danner Suite on the first floor which is very convenient. Our window looked out over the square. There were several nice restaurants nearby and some nice shops to browse in. Gregg was very helpful with everything. He recommended Joanne as our Battlefield guide and she was the best. She spent all afternoon with us and was so very nice. We enjoyed this trip very much and would recommend this Inn. It was great. Thanks to Gregg, Linda, Joanne and Jeannine for all you did.

Gregg and Linda were so warm and friendly and knowledgeable, too!! The suite was spacious, clean and beautifully appointed, including muffins, fruit and coffee, tea and milk to go in them!
Beds comfortable, great location! Will definitely stay here when we visit Gettysburg again. Make sure you book the guided tour that Gregg so highly recommended.

We celebrated my husband's fortieth birthday in Gettysburg with two other couples. I read the reviews prior to booking our reservation, and I am very happy to say that our expectations were met and exceeded! Lovely, historic building in the center of town - I don't think a better location can be found. The Innkeeper gives 5 star service a new meaning - he has raised the bar while also being a down to earth, genuine person. Highly recommend and we most certainly will be back!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Annie Danner Suite - absolutely charming; cozy and spacious at the same time!
