We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in Gettysburg and stayed 4 nights at the Lincoln Inn in the first floor suite. Staying in something as historic as the Lincoln Inn on the 149th anniversary of the Civil War was important to us and it certainly lived up to our expectations. In arranging for our stay, we contacted Greg about 3 months prior and he provided us information and answered our questions via email and phone within a short time frame. It seems he was always available. Perhaps he is one of the ghosts that have taken up residence in the city of Gettysburg. Both Greg and Jeanine are warm and friendly and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. They are awesome hosts. By the way, the delicious fruit basket and muffins were delicious.
This was our first time in Gettysburg. As a retired US Army officer and Army wife, visiting Gettysburg is awe inspiring. The amount of history we encountered on the battlefield, the visitors center, the city streets and the reenactments made this a truly memorable vacation. If you come to Gettysburg, choose to stay at the Lincoln Inn. That is, if it's available.
