Owner description: See the ENTIRE battlefield at one time and watch the troop movements for ALL three days of battle. The battlefield covers 6,000 acres, an area large enough to be difficult to visualize. The Gettysburg Diorama will put the battle into perspective when you see the ENTIRE battlefield as it appeared in 1863. Carefully researched and meticulously assembled, the Diorama contains over 20,000 hand-painted soldiers, horses, cannons and buildings. Picture the battle through the eyes of Generals Meade and Lee as a narrative unfolds in miniature with a light and sound effects experience you won't forget.

First you watch a movie about the Civil War and then enter the large room where the Gettysburg battlefield is surrounding you. it was incredible to see the detail and what the battlefield would have looked like around you. This is not to be missed!

This was a great way to "see" the battle. I wish I could have sat through more than once. Beautiful art and informative.

Great place to take kids to understand where and when everything happened during the battle. Shows run often. Don't waste time on the ghost lab.

We were the only customers there on a Sunday morning and the clerk happily started the show right up for us. The diorama could probably use a little cleaning but it was tremendously helpful in understanding where everyone was when during the battle. We had done the battlefield the day before and we both came out and said, okay now I get how the battle progressed. The price was also very reasonable, I think $6 or $7, certainly well worth it.

When you leave the diarama, look at the picture at the bottom of the steps. Informative. I never knew the artist painted himself into the picture as his signature. Also, it is not accurate, as per the actual history.
