We have been camping in Gettysburg for several years and, in particular, at Round Top for the last four. We were there when the former owners (2 young couples) worked fervently and constantly to make that campground and camping there an enjoyable experience. They subsequently sold to an outside investment group who clearly paid no attention to anything but the bottom line, until the bottom line went down the drain. There is nothing positive that I can say about the on-site managers, who, I am happy to say, are no longer there. The new management team has met with the seasonal campers and has made many promises, many of which are scheduled for this winter. I will withhold judgment for now, but I am heartened by the positive additude being displayed. The campground itself has many fine assets, including a great pool. RV and trailer sites are reasonably sized. Fully equipped and nicely appointed cabins are also available. Tenting sites are so-so but definitely OK for boy scouts. Fees are good considering the proximity to a major tourist attraction.
